Thanks for the video, very useful ! It's funny I raced versus you minutes ago, finished 3rd, you first with a tons of 1'35.6 while I was struggling with 36.2/3, very impressive ! :)
@little48o1 well thanks 😊. A lot easier to put up fast times when there is a gap behind. I also put up some very slow times in other races when I was watching my mirrors 😉
That lap is really fast. Even setting my Ambient to 66deg (19 C), I’m getting a track temp over 100deg (40 C). That track temp could be the reason you are so much faster. That is a chilly track. I ran a tank with the old setup and did 36.4 and the new set managed 36.3. Just 1 tank each, but watching your lap, I can’t see there being enough for 0.8-0.9. When the week changes tonight, I’ll try again, but right now, you have my confidence shaken. I have always considered myself an Okayama specialist. Mid 35’s is other-worldly. Great video as always, but you’ve really got me rattled.😂
@j-wray good to hear from you! My mouth was on the floor, too. If you go into the Ray series and select schedule, pick okayama, it gives you the conditions for the week. It's quite accurate
@@edwardbuchanan871 I didn’t have to go to the time schedule, but great to know for next week! The race week changed before I loaded in, and sure enough…exact same temps you had (19C ambient/20C track. It was quite a but quicker, so I do think the cooler temps are what is making it so much faster. Congrats on 5k!!! Hope to catch you out there. Okayama is one of my favorites.
I am 157% sure I can't make to the end of the race with only 13 litres of fuel. I like to overlap inputs a lot. So I am sticking to my own, very asymmetric setups! :P Okayama's week will be fun. Last time we have been here on open, it was raining. Looking forward to drive it in the dry again.

@@Tia_Bea whatever gets you round the track fastest is the best setup. I tend to be easier on fuel consumption, I had 1 lap extra at 13L. Good luck 👍
