The US needs to respond with boatloads of ATACMs and Patriot systems for the Odessa region
Unfortunately it seems the US is hesitating and waiting for the new gen rockets beeing delivered by Lockheed Martin.
I also hope they sent them soon and without the current restrictions on us weapons.
They need to be send quietly and used to destroy the Russian depots in Russia them self.
It can really destroy the logistics in one fast swoop

Given the historical facts about Russia and its imperialistic views, we'll all benefit if Russia is taught a lesson.
The lesson, that they can't invade their neighbours to rebuild soviet union.
They can't hold people around the world hostage to get their way.

Not reversing Russia in Ukraine is the same as not reversing Germany in the run up to WW II. There would have been no WW II had they simply done that. The results were 62 million dead and immeasurable destruction.

About Russian law, they will use the letter of the law to the full of extent, and then they'll break it anyway to get what they want. If they want to make it a criminal charge they will just predate a charge from 6 months ago or 8 months ago and then they have their criminal charge... It is quite literally a stroke of the pen

Excellent! 'We' have effectively tied Ukraine's hands in the past, although more recently we have apparently seen the light. As horrific a weapon as cluster munitions are, Russia has not had a problem using cluster munitions . All's Fair in Love and War. So Ive heard. At least Ukraine is limiting use of the weapon to military targets, military infrastructure and support, stockpiles of weapons etc. Im fine with that.
It's really nice of Ukraine to play by the rules ❤ Maybe they can do something about the corruption next.

Will cluster munitions help at all in clearing the minefields?
Cluster munitions will help clear the Russian trenches by killing the Orcs by the hundreds.
Unlikely. Early in the war Russia were using artillery barrages to clear minefields but stopped when ammo availability etc became more of a concern. Ammo is likely too scarce/valuable for Ukraine to use it for mine clearance.

Turkey has stated that it will protect grain ships sailing to and from Ukraine with its very capable navy. IF Turkey stands by its word and by doing so is attacked by Russia, A. Turkey a NATO country could call on NATO for assistance and B, it could open the Bosphorus strait to other NATO war ships, thereby adding more power to protect the grain ships.
I don’t wish for such event. People will die.
But it seems to be an almost unmovable red line for NATO.

An ambassador serves to help further the policy of their administration. He may have done a great job overall, but he should have known better than to publicly criticize his president. Zelensky has the right to have whomever HE wants as ambassador.

I feel that this could be the perfect storm for Putin by letting Prigozhin to keep his head if he and his Wagner group (along with the Russian army) to successfully push to Kyiv. Putin will not make the same mistake again as far as logistics. Progizhins' army will move westward along the Belarus boarder so it's supply and logistic systems will be safely organized and protected along the southern Belarus border. The Wagner group is alive, regardless of the Russian spin in the media. Putin is trying to throw the west off kilter
The border with Belarus is one of the most heavily mined borders on Earth now. There is little chance Progizhin or the Russian army have the kind of resources to effectively push through that border at stage of the conflict.

No concession to Russia. Putin is on the ropes politically and Russia is on the back foot militarily and economically. If anything we need to increase the pressure ar every point - sanctions, air defence and long range weapons plus the delivery time.

The deal was 1 Russian back to collect payments and allow insurance for fert shipments. That was the deal... now west never did their part so it stopped being expanded right.. seems logical plus it wasn't lime much grain was shipped to poor countries most had gone to rich. Then add Russia has said it will supply grain to Africa.. so not really seeing a problem on this one

The problem with this is even the USA quietly knows the Russian air defence is the best. That's what they are reluctant to supply the F16 as they make a lot of money globally selling the F16 and they don't want to see them getting blown out the sky.

Ukraine is certainly not the world’s breadbasket. It is the 5th largest world exporter of grain, and it’s not evenly distributed, the the first 2 countries on the list is the US and Russia and they are in the lead by an enormous margin. The next 2 countries which I forgot are both sitting an a secondary plato half way between the first 2 and 0. And Ukraine, the fifth country, is sitting on a further even lower plato.
The US destroys more grain on its useless Corn-Ethanol subsidy program [that converts corn to ethanol while using as much energy and creating as much carbon footprint to create original corn as is then conserved when the ethanol it creates replaces gasoline] then ALL UKRAINIAN GRAIN PRODUCTION.
I think regarding the collapse of the grain deal and the rise of prices that the UK government OWES it to the people of the UNITED KINGDOM to provide FREE BREAD AND DAKES to EVERY UK household, until the end of the conflict or until a new grain deal is signed AND prices for the consumer go down. , after all our support to Ukraine so far, it is the least WE deserve. Tell zelenski to sell one of his multitude of global properties and that will pay for day 1.
