    De ann. acad. auspicatione plura hic invenies: on. sjiEJ6
    ENGLISH: The Tyrtarion chorus sings a well known song from Ovid's Tristia at the inauguration of the 2011-2012 Academic year.
    As is our habit we have added instrumentation to the poem so that it is easier to perceive the meter, the original accents, and the sense of original song (author of the instrumentation is Mr. George P. Corbett, alumnus of our Academy, now studying at the University of Cambridge).
    We hope that you enjoy our song as much as it has delighted us to perform it.

    Why do you pronounce it with the classic pronunciation, but the letter "v" as v and not as "u"?

      when that poem was written, the pronunciation of V as in italian or english was already common.

      Vulgar Latin kind of created our V sound.

      Antiqui ipsi pedes movebant in re poetica. Hoc saepe potest fieri, cum sentiamus vim carminum, quae musae in corde nostro infingunt. :)

    What is wrong with restored pronunciation?

    • @luckfex3885
      @luckfex3885 7 лет назад

      This is the "Restored Pronunciation" for latin in official latin "æ" pronounced like "I" "c" always pronounced like "K" if you pronounce "æ" like in "eternas" that's vulgar latin.Thats the most accurate latin prononciation i ve ever seen.

      LuckFex "ae" is pronunced "ah eh" in Classical Latin (around the time of Caesar). In Old Latin, instead, it was pronounced as the English I
