- I am building a DIY Ecobox from NWF (NorthWest Fab) and needed to harvest some parts for it. My donor for the gear reduction is a Np241c out of a Chevy because of the 6 pinion planetary gear set and because of the availability of the case.
The flat snap ring pliers I used.

I missed this one when it came out. The videos on the 205 teardown and modification make SO much more sense now. 😆
I could have done a better job stating that this will be a series. Im going to try and do that in the future.
Hopefully I can start on my doubler some day soon
keep an eye open for cheaper parts as they become available
@@FMJeeping is that a one eyed guy joke? 🤣🤣🤣😂😉 I actually have everything I need to put a 241/205 together
@@DaddyJeepGarage heck ya.
Got the same chevy t-case on the Comanche if you want to dispose of the remaining parts, chain, output etc, i could venmo you some $$ 😁
We can talk. Let me get the ecobox build first.
@@FMJeeping 👍🏻 sweet message me later on brother.
Nice, Could you tell me the part number of the front yoke or which transfer case you adapted it from?
😮
The input shaft i am using is a NP231J input shaft from 91+ transfer case. The 23 spline one. I havent decided which yoke I'm going with for the outputs yet. I currently run 1350s at the transfer case side and they have been holding up fine. I do plan on a bigger engine in the future so i might account for that on the yoke /u joint size
Where did you get the 241 T-case and how do you know which ones have the 6 pinion planetary?
I got it off Facebook marketplace and typically the ones from Chevy or the 241c will have the six pinion planetary gear set
