    Not necessarily a how to, but a great video anyway. I didn't see how you made the pockets for the louvers. I assume the router but interested in how your setup was with those angles.

    God damn it that vintage look
    which kind of stain is that, it's perfection mate

      I think the key of this nice look is the alder wood I used.
      For finish I used clear varnish spray, then some sanding and final - dark patina varnish, it's kind of varnish you need to wipe out very quickly after coating before it finally dry, so the most of color will leave only in scratches and dents. After patina - any wax paste for brighter colors. That's it :)

      Thanks a lot my friend.
      I was wondering if you can make a chair and finish it the same way, cause it would remind you of the old bourboun days, plus it would match that door, Good job for real.

    Hello, can you tell me how much room you allowed for spacing
    between doors so they would swing well. Thankyou!

    • @HandCraftChannel
      @HandCraftChannel  5 лет назад

      good question, I was planning to leave about 5mm gap, but mixed up a little and now have about 15mm spacing
      but it still works and looks pretty good
      also, as my friend noticed, this bigger size spacing is more safe for fingers :)
