The first person I have seen on youtube who launched CVT properly. Other people simply don't know how to launch CVT. I am the owner of CVT Zx honda city and I know the car pulls brilliantly. Though it might not match the manual it does its job quite well. Also on hills to be frank it performs quite efficiently in D mode itself. My 0 to 100 was 9.9 seconds. Your timings seem quite good with CVT. Thank you so much for this video.
@@jaisharma3556 Awesome. Bro I'm confused about one thing. My drive 60%+ in city. I take out the car weekly thrice. Should I take CVT or MT? I liked, CVT but somehow I think i'll miss Manual Drive feel. Ill keep the car 8+ years for sure. Which would you recommend? Do we get bored with CVT driving?
I have driven 4 cars in the past few months, Honda City Manual, Honda Civic CVT, Mazda 3 Automatic, and AMG A35. I took long trips in the hills, and the CVT civic was the worst one to drive. If you are a driving for the sake of commuting then it makes sense, otherwise its just horrible to drive. If you are hitting the apex of a corner on an incline and put your foot down to accelerate it just won't do it. Worst driving experience of my life. If you cannot afford a DCT transmission and you love driving, stick to manual. The AMG is a class of its own, with quick downshifts as you are braking and entering a corner, ready to accelerate. The Mazda was also not bad but the long gearing ratio makes it less brutal. I imagine the Civic would have been absolutely insane to drive with a manual transmission.
I have been using Honda's AT since 2009 and CVT since past five years. And Gearing barking as we did in manual is perfectly works in both. You just need to use them paddle shifters.
Drive test on Hills was quite patchy and incomplete, Quite surprised that during Hill driving you are not using paddle shifters while on upward incline, so in that sense your review is incomplete, secondly while going down hill if down shifting is not helping, how do you control speed ? Do you keep pressing brakes ?
I have entirely different observation. While going on the downhill if I put my car in sportz mode and shift gear to 1st or second gear, it slows down to the desired speed without making harsh noise which generally happens in manual transmission. Yes on uphills, it doesn't perform as good as DCT.
who thinks of mileage in Sports mode in uphill conditions? Which car give mileage in these condition? CVT ko badnaam krne wale aise he bhare pade hain. Verna petrol se mileage milti h kya?
I would disagree. torque converters are more durable than cvt and readily give power when needed. toyota's direct shift cvt is more durable than cvt due to its physical first gear.
Hey can anyone answer my ques? 1. does cruise control and hill assist comes with automatic transmission only? PS:- don’t have knowledge about cars but videos like this makes me curious 🧐

Bro, is it with full load you went on the hill?

@@johnnybravo9641 60 percent city, surely CVT and to enhance performance you have the peddle shifters

I have 5 gen CVT and yes I climbed 40 degree incline in the car without any issue
Tyre pressure light was there in CVT hence it might contribute for slow speeds😊 I hope you guys got my point
Can you perform all this same testes for for Honda elevate ?

CVTs are not at all meant for sudden acceleration or drags.
Should have turned off traction control to get 0-100 in under 10 secs
I have done 0-100 in 9.5 secs
Great!
I've done in 9.3 Seconds

Paddle shifters don't mean anything in CVT
what is the fuel efficiency of this car in city and on highway ?

You told the problem but not the solution, for downhills driving.

Nice 👌
Get rid of the fake accent. It makes the video irritating to view. Get back to normal pronunciation of your “R”.

Nope, crusie control is from the base model of MT. Hill Assist not sure off.
Hill assist comes in manual also where it needed the most

Dislike for the fake accent specifically "avatar" pronunciation.

The speech and diction of that reviewer was not fully clear in that mic. Better speak in your local language dude. No such English thing needed
