- A Monkey Sterilization Unit is established at Chidiyapur Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, Haridwar Forest Division, Uttarakhand. This Unit performs surgical sterilization of Monkeys, with the goal of reducing their population in the long run- and thereby addressing the rising conflict between humans and monkeys.
On males, minimal invasive method for vasectomy is conducted, and for females, their oviducts are cauterized by Laparoscopic technique.
This video- first in the series, demonstrates the tranquilizing procedure.
I think it’s wonderful work you are doing to reduce the monkey population, they way the sterilisation it’s so humane and very little stress on the monkeys , thank you all for a wonderful job you are doing .

Всеже лучше у самок не перевязку маточных труб делать а полное удаление матки и яичников. Видела видео, свинохвост Эшли, с перевязанными трубами, все равно рожала. Мертвых, с криками но рожала. Лучше их избавить от этого. А самцы- делают вазоэктомию, а половое влечение , агрессия сохраняется. Как насиловали самок, так и будут продолжать. Не очень то и полезно. Проще семенники вырезать, и спокойные , не агрессивные самцы.

А как они будут жить, стерилизованные и кастрированные, какую ступень в иерархии теперь станут занимать, а может их сородичи и поубивают, раздерут, как будет дальше, это же не практикуется везде, а макак полно. Может быть такое, их стерилизуют, а на их место в десяток больше рождается.
@@marinakojarina2295, поэтому стерилизация и кастрация должны проводиться постоянно. И чтобы не ловить уже подвергшихся операции обезьян, их должны метить. Думаюбирки вешать бесполезно, но сделать в ухе прокол или удалить часть уха, вполне можно. А насчет отношений, если неоперированных будет меньше чем оперированных, то проблем не будет. Я сужу по своим кошкам, кастраты живут мирно, а некастраты не обращают на них внимания. Так что думаю, и у обезьян будет так же. Меньше будет драк, меньше шума. А поскольку увеличивается численность не будет, будет и чище , и люди смогут спокойно по пеюврку ходить.

1 ano já se passaram e o crescimento continua a esterilização devia ser contínua.
Поскольку в условиях парков обезьяны очень много рожают, нужно каждую самку , после того как она родит 3-4 макаша , стерилизовать. А нарождающихся самцов, оставлять из сотни десяток, в остальных кастрировать. Так глядишь , они и оплодотворять всех не смогут и у макак будет больший перерыв между рождениями. И сами макаша будут более здоровыми. И не будет такого, что самка родила нормального макаша, а молока у нее нет. Макаш от голода, соответственно обезвоживания в муках погибает. Не люблю макак, но предпочитаю для них если и смерть, то быструю. Все равно живое существо.

@@CajunRed It would probably affect their social standing in the troop..Breeding is all about being right up top, non Breeding feanales are outcasts in monkey troops..Also why feamales try and breed with males who are higher up the rung..So this here will immediately deem these feamales to basically be as good as spinsters.
Normally, it’s the male monkeys who are sterilized. It’s easier and cheaper and makes more sense , because one male can impregnate several females.

Exactly. It’s especially hard for women to obtain sterilization because it’s automatically assumed that EVERY WOMAN WANTS CHILDREN. Not so! Many women know for sure that they don’t want kids but their words fall on deaf ears. Even worse, the husband or partner of the woman has to give permission. Excuse me but my husband doesn’t own my body and I don’t own his!

I had a friend when I went back to college a few years ago that was a married father of 4, and he and his wife decided it was time for a vasectomy. Within a year after his proceedure they had a daughter, and two years after a "redo" vasectomy by a different doc they had another son. Go figure.

I truly would be curious to know how some of these animals fared when returned to the jungle. Human probably couldn't get within a 100 meters of them.
I watch a Hong Kong monkey channel. They randomly trap them in big cages for sterilisation. Afterwards they are ok with people coming close to feed them. Im surprised some keep going in the cages when they see their friends and famy trapped and taken away...even if they are returned.

А та кошка которую стерилизовали в этом году, через Часов 7-8 уже ходила, пошатывалась , но ходила. А через сутки, только шов на животике напоминал, что она оперирована.А вообще то после любой операции, у всех наблюдается подобное.

Kat M Because the tubal doesn’t effect their hormones or natural behaviors. They will still go into estrus and mate but just not conceive. So their lives go on exactly like before while just preventing overpopulation of the species in that area.
