The prepers or nurses or assistants seem to be more gentle. Like dealing with human patients. I have seen spade & nuturing on dogs and cats, a lot of the assistants as soon as the animal is out, plopping them down carelessly as if dead meat instead of thinking they are gonna eventually wake up and feel everything you did when they were out(like humans do). I like the handlers here.
I didn’t see them being any rough handling. Yes there being professional and no wrong doing. Spay -not spade and neuter helps keep population down in monkeys. Since there over populated in many countries. And Cambodia uses culling practices in the summer time.
Very impressive, great people, who deserve a lot of respect. They treat the monkeys very well judging by the videos.. Great job they are very professional...
All of you posting your judgemental thoughts need to actually go to this place and live the life these people live with the overwhelming population of these monkeys. Then come back on here and post your judgments....go on I'm waiting tic tok!
I agree. I have been shocked to see hordes of agressive monkeys invading homes and businesses in many towns and cities I've visited in the Indian subcontinent and SE Asia. They are vile and so very agressive.
Upon being brought to the Center, the monkeys are kept for a day for acclimatization to the place. They are fed well that day, and screened for surgery. Pregnant females/ young one less than six months of age/ lactating mothers are rejected. On day two, the monkeys are operated an transferred to recovery rooms, where they stay for another two days, when their wound heals. they are released in forest on the third day.
The one other thing I saw that they did in another place was tattooing a mark on the chest of the monkeys in case they were caught again, so they could tell the were sterilized already. My female cat was spayed before we got her- they used to cut a small tip off one ear, but her vet tattooed a blue line by her spay scar.
At least they are trying to do something about the population rather than just sit back and complain about there being to many monkeys! They should do this every spring with the birth of the new babies. Yes, I know, monkeys don't always birth at the same time but I think once a year is a good time to go after them because they may have been to young last time but are old enough now. Great think to be doing to get the numbers down!

I was shocked at the total lack of sanitary conditions during and after the surgery. Instruments not sterilized, medications left open. I can't help but wonder how many monkeys died following this "procedure".
1) I don't know how many dogs and cats you've seen sterilized at the vets in the US, but it's not much more of a sterile environment than this. 2) Monkeys are much less susceptible to pre - post operative infections than domestic, household pets. 3) It's also a scalability issue; they can't perform this many procedures any other way. 4) It's either this, or the monkeys are culled.
why not use quinacrine sterilisation on females? No surgical means are needed, just speculum and ultrasound apparature. It causes scarring ofthe tubes, preventing sperm and egg cells to meet ,no narcose needed, just sedation
They have to be in comparatively small cages, so that they can be treated well. Anyways, they spend only four-five days in cages, and thereafter are liberated in the forests.

how can it be known that a monkey is sterelized? do they get a tatoo on their ear?
Do yall release them when done
@@MeribethCome Yes, and preferably in the same area/habitat from where they were brought.
Excellent. Tube tying is much easier that hysterectomy.
Alot simpler to do males n quicker, but I really enjoyed it.
How is this program funded? Thank you.
The Center runs its operations through funding from the Government.
@@AkashVermaIFS Thank you!
Are they checked months down the road to see if the surgery was a success and their tubes didnt heal back up
How long are they there at the facility and how/where are they released if they are captured from the cities?

@@AkashVermaIFS thank you for answering. Am I correct to understand that they are caught in a city then released in the jungle

That is a very encouraging comment!
Like sticking a turkey with the temperature needle. 🙊
I wonder How much money is owed by the monkey after the surgery. I hope it has enough savings to cover the cost.
12 bananas and 2 mango!
Awesome work! 👍👍👍👍👍🎉🎊🎉
Not exactly sterile but, getting the job done, I guess. Gentle! Hope it wasn’t just for the cameras! 👏👏
Where is this being done? Where are monkeys being collected for this?
Thank you for viewing this video l understand 😊
I don’t know who is paying for all of this but I’m thankful they are
Is this microscopic surgery
Jordys Mom, this is Laparoscopic surgery.
Tubectomy is clearly a much more invasive and risky procedure than a vasectomy.
Agree!
What was that stuff applied to it's back?
Theresa Marie glue so the body doesn’t slide
But really it’s something so the metal plate under him can conduct electricity through the monkey so the cauterizer can burn the tubes
It showed them putting tarot’s on them before surgery
I assume the sterilised monkeys will be relocated away from the city n suburbs.
Yes, they are released in nearby Reserved Forests.
The better part of it if there is hundred and hundreds of wild monkey

Janet Lindsay they are in a clinic to receive a vasectomy. The small cages are temporary.
Fantastic, Thank You.
Said it on the vasectomy part... this seems an awful waste of resources and time.
