Dude this duel matchup is seriously one of my all time favorite in wow. Playing this at level 70 when the new talents came out for wotlk pre patch was so fucking good back in the day. Insanely high skill capped duel requiring super precise inputs in both sides, and can go either way. I remember dueling one of my good irl friends literally all day when the laych hit. He was already 4x gladiator and I had just gotten my first glad title in S4. Man those were the days 😢
You fireballed him through cloak because the fireball was already in the air already before Pika cloaked. Cloak "only" reduces the rogue's chance to get hit by spells by 90% and abilities that are already in the air have their hit chance already calculated. Therefore abilities midair can't be cloaked.

Is Xaryu using a pet nova deep freeze macro? Can’t tell if he’s just ungoldly fast or if it’s a macro. Also how do you get the fingers of frost to show on the side like that? I haven’t played mage since original wrath and forgot
When enemy is frozen/deep'd is it ideal to use (rank 14) frostbolt or (rank 1) ice lance? Frostbolt (rank 14) has high crit chance on frozen targets. However ice lance (pre-patch rank 1) does triple dmg to frozen targets. What is better? Or does being able to kite with instant cast ice lance make it situational?
Generally Frostbolt will do about double the damage of Ice Lance, at least @ level 80. Ice Lance is only really worth casting if you want to do damage while moving or when you can't get another Frostbolt off before DF/Nova ends, which is when you chain an Ice Lance after the Frostbolt for some extra free damage. For DF you can typically 2x Frostbolt > Ice Lance. Replace Ice Lance for Brain Freeze proc in the Deep Freeze rotation as well.
Unless you have enough haste, you'll only be able to get 2 frost abilites into the freeze. So it's better to go straight into lances. Unless you are trying to get fingers procs or you expect they might trinket your freeze ;p
Unless you have like zero haste, yeah, it becomes slightly more worth to ice lance 3x in a deep at the start of the expac, assuming lance does 55% worth of FB damage. But if you have veins up with 10% haste from gear it's already possible to 2x FB 1x lance in a deep freeze. 10% haste should be obtainable in first season or with engi gloves (don't use haste engi gloves in 1st season, rocket does way more dmg proportional to the HP ppl will have). And if lance ends up doing half or less than have of an FB worth of dmg then you're better off going for 1x FB into 1x lance in the deep for proc chance and the slow. Also at some point, at roughly 15% haste, you can 1x FB into 2x lance within a deep. Lance really doesn't do that much dmg in wotlk. Especially without the glyph which nobody really runs since it guts your survivability/mana sustain.

Well both gotta practice CDs in this matchup. Pikaboo used fckin SD and Cloak in same time before iceblock thats sure loss. Some top rogue duelers from warmane would dismantle Xaryu atm, but oke good players will learn very fast what they need to do in certain matchups
@@christoffer5875 True but you dont need it to be instant youre trying to keep combat you cast fs and block almost half of a pillar cause of its dot on ground its has way more success rate for keeping combat ,while casting blizzard not only costing more mana and lower chance of keeping combat youre also risking to get frost locked .

So him having a whole castbar to react will make it impossible to hit him with it. Sure it can work vs bad rogues, but it would never work vs a good one like pikaboo
Why would Anyone Think this would be a good fight in 2022, Maybe 2015 sure --- Anymore Pikaboo is a Garbage Rogue on the Spectrum of Rogues, And he lives or dies on his Castsequence Macros and hangs in the 1800 Bracket every season untill the last months when he buys his Gladiator Boost. While Xaryu Lives in the 2600+ bracket from week one and Runs Teams himself....Pika Hasnt had a Team in half a Decade, just simple truths.. Because he lost his god Status in his 20's /happens Game Changes and Internet Personalities have changed over the decades of Warcraft Still a Fan of both these OO'Gs, But its not a good duel even for `100 fake twitch donor Bucks

It already happened and Pshero didn't fair well. He's more of a WPvP played, and not so much rated, although he does reach decent rating on raw skill.

Cloak doesn't only reduce the rogues chance to hit. It also removes all the debuffs or you just forget about that.
