Great song, awesome performance. Tonic is good shit. Never got to see them live for some reason, now I'm 40 and constantly looking out for a show. Thanks for the upload
They rock hard live. I heard them play about 10 years ago on Spring Break. They are way more rock than pop live. They closed out the set with Sweet Home Alabama. Way better than The Toadies that opened for them.
Not sure what Rick Turner is talking about this drummer is solid as they get. Perhaps Mr Turner could post some of drumming videos to show us all how it's done. I'm sure the members of Tonic would be really great full. We will all be waiting Mr Turnner
He's talking about the tempo change which exists in the studio version of the song also. It's not much, but I noticed it too. Since they wrote the song i would assume it's supposed to be like that. I'm not enough of an ass to rip someone for playing a song the way they wrote it. There are tempo changes just as there are timbre changes in this song. It's what makes the song in my opinion.
I love that Tonic sounds a lot like their studio albums when they're live. They don't deviate from the original. I love that u can sing a long and not get lost. I saw them in El Paso, Tx at the hype of their carrer. Lol. I love this song, btw.
Yes! I'm glad someone else brought this up. That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine when some bands perform live, how they screw up the lyrics, singing them so choppy and out of synch from the original and I can't stand it! I dunno if they think their audience wants to hear it a different way or if they're just bored of singing it. Like you said it makes it nearly impossible for the audience to sing along. So props to Tonic for not switching it up!
Do you or anyone else have mountain from this same show. I saw on direct tv last night and it was awesome version but can't find anywhere thanks so much
Sadly it's hard to do that when you have one fewer guitars when playing live than what you recorded. With that said I think they did a great job bringing the energy in the studio recording to this track.
My favorite Tonic song. They were so underrated. Should've gone further.
Yea dude they're still touring... lol
Dude, my favorite Tonic song by far. Great Lyrics!
@@brantgreen3387 Mountain and If You Could Only See are really great too. Most of their songs are great both those really stand out.

Kevin Murphy is a country drummer. Plays with some big artists.

Awesome!!!
B must have been smoking pot when he said this was terrible, it’s an awesome live version
5:13 Emerson smilee Hahaaa great!!!
Terrible. The studio version is amazing with that slide part in the chorus. That defines that whole song and it's missing. I agree with Steven. Null
