    Thanks Ben. I’ve been looking at robot mowers for several years, but they’ve always been expensive and required cumbersome guide wires. Our yard has four different disconnected “zones”. This one looks like it’ll work great for us and seems to be reasonably priced. At any rate, I ordered one using your link and we’ll give it a try!

      I am not sure if seperate disconnected zones will work with this one :/ I have two zones like that in my garden and I heard somewhere it wont work when they are not connected.

      @@Igor-vf9lh maybe “disconnected” was the wrong word to use. :) There are good level paths between all the zones, but four different distinct broken up areas that would make defining them with wires pretty difficult. I looked at all the information and setup videos on the Segway site and it should work for us I hope. 🤞

    Are you aware of any fence gates other than Husqvarna's used by robotic lawnmowers? I think this will be the next important accessory for these since MANY homeowners have enclosed fences. Of course, at the price of these, I'm tempted to get two. I'll likely trial one for this summer to see how it goes while having to let it through the fence every time.

    I was very excited to try this out in my yard unfortunately after wasting 2 hours of my time. First of all there was no anti-theft available system with this item, second it had a very difficult time connecting to WiFi. For the money I paid I expected connectivity and not having to buy a separate 4G device and lastly it is very hard to map. It is not AI assisted; that would mean it reads the yard much like a robot vacuum would but it doesn’t. You have guide the device around your entire yard and then after several attempts due to spotty connections in a small area, it will not mow. Very disappointing product.

  • @triniphyx
    @triniphyx 3 месяца назад +1

    What a silly way to map a yard. Why not sell a smart roller wheel as an add-on that you use to simply walk around the area you want to mow, then have that map automatically uploaded to the mower? This would be a lot more accurate than trying to drive the mower using your phone.

  • @NeilBergman
    @NeilBergman 6 месяцев назад

    I'm not very impressed. The fact that it's mostly effortless once you have the lawn mapped is a plus point but it looks like it is very slow and has to charge multiple times even to finish a lawn that's not really that large.

    • @Sylvan_dB

      It works every day so your lawn never needs mowed.

    • @sparkzbarca
      @sparkzbarca 4 месяца назад +2

      So the problem with that criticism is does it really matter if it takes 8 hours to mow if a robot is doing it?
      If you set it to mow while your at work for example and each monday and friday you go to work and come home to a mowed lawn. Does it really matter that it took the entire time you were at work to do so?

    • @Sylvan_dB
      @Sylvan_dB 2 месяца назад +1

      @@DarkKnightBruce Sure, up to every day. If it gets the job done by working 5 days a week, that's fine to. It is most definitely not a "cut it all at once and done for a week" kind of job. If that's what you want, like a person, I do not know of a robot that will do it like a person.

    In fact, what we see in all the test videos of wireless installations is that the lawn mower robot is being tested on a very flat lawn. In fact, we would rather see how the lawn mower works when there are obstacles, such as many trees or other obstacles on the lawn. Can the lawn mower robot cleverly avoid obstacles?
    We also want to see if the GPS wireless signal of the machine will be affected under the shade of trees. In cloudy conditions, such as many dark clouds. Will the GPS signal also be affected? Speaking of which, can machines go out to work on rainy days? These are all very important, and if the machine can only cut grass on sunny days, there will be many restrictions
    If there is a swimming pool on the lawn and the lawn has a certain slope to the pool, there is a certain slope. Will the lawn mower robot fall into the swimming pool uncontrollably under the influence of gravity?
    All the tested lawns are very ideal, but what we would prefer to see in such a high priced robot is that it does not require wiring, but can it achieve more powerful functions beyond that?
    Can anyone who has actually used this robot give real feedback?

    • @imola8
      @imola8 Месяц назад

      @@RobotDEVVIS i have this model and our lawn is far from perfect. It works flawless. Whenever gps signal is weak it uses the built in camera to navigate. We only had an issue at a very steep spot were the mower couldnt get up because the wheels lost grip. I installed kind of a sprocket on the wheels and now it can go up that climb.
