The Clacton Airshow 2024

This is the 2024 Clacton airshow on the seafront at clacton on sea in essex.
This is a free to attend event which takes place over two days at the end of august every year I've attended the last 3 years in a row now and this year took my son Ryan and my mate Ian.
A vast array of aircraft take part over the two days including spitfires, helicopters,wildcat, strike master , flying fortress , Lancaster Bomber and more.

Yeah every year it's a really good event.
Very windy this year so a few of the displays couldn't take place but still a really good day out.

That is my aim it's a way of showing here's what to expect if attending certain events/place.
As when going to this year's colourscape I met a lady coming out that had booked it after seeing my previous years video of the colourscape event so it's good I can help people in that way.
You never know you might like one of my videos from one of this year's events and bump into me at next year's one.

Compared to a display at an airfield the planes are much further away. You can see from the shaky video that high magnification is required to even get these poor shots which don't do justice to the beautiful aircraft.
I know, it's a free show and a good family day out, so I am not criticising, just pointing out that if anybody has their interest in aircraft stimulated by this event they might want to shell out some hard earned and go to a proper airshow. You will not only see the flying aircraft much closer and get better photos but when they are on the ground you can often go right up to them and perhaps even talk to the pilot.

@@jeffreyhall6345 yeah the planes are a long way out ...the shaking was part due to having to use 10x magnification (otherwise there just dots on the screen) and for the first few hours really strong wind.
