iMessage on Android No Apple Device Required!

- I've messed around a lot with iMessage services like BlueBubbles and Airmessage in order to get iMessage on my Android devices like the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The problem with these services is that they require you to have an Apple Computer running 24/7 to act as a server. Sunbird is a new app that fixes this. Thanks to the developers working over at Sunbird they figured out a way to get iMessage running on any Android phone and all you need is an Apple ID, no Apple product required, and it works pretty good! No, because iPhones use different messaging systems, when you download this app you are sending messages from the same system

@@wagwan2 yes. but they INTENTIONALLY invented that system to make sure that only iphones can have a good messaging experience. their own system works worse than the RCS one android uses, too. apple could easily adopt RCS, but they dont cause theyre so greedy and want to force everyone onto using iphones.
@@notraeonso, Apple, made a messaging service that works on their phones and their servers, it only works on product that they sold. So why would they give it to everyone ? That’d just be a loss of money
@@notraeonor they could release the code to allow androids to download IMessage or get an install that communicates with Apple devices. Android is open source so even without natural inclusion etc, you can edit the software and make it compatible with just about anything, as well as install random apps. Apple didn't even release the codes for anything so android developers could make it work better. Apple could also make theirs compatible with Android or make a secondary message system so they don't need to release their iphone to iPhone system. Android could even provide them a code, which most are publicly accessible, and they could implement it separately for Android contacts. The main argument to get an iphone is "Bleh green messages group chats suck" when that is really the issue with apple.
Actually you need an apple ID signed in on an apple device that has been active for at least two weeks! I had access and had an old apple ID, but it wasn't used actively on an apple device for at least two weeks, and the app couldn't work 😢

The only thing is “you don’t need a server “, but in reality you do need a server which is using a third-party app?
Now you’re gonna be routing messages through a third-party app and who knows who’s reading those messages, and where the company is. Obviously, we can do research on that and figure out the companies origins, but why would you want to give a third-party your important/personal text messages.
Maybe I’m missing something here, I haven’t done my research just watching this video in a feed.

@@sagar-kx yeah I already did and it sent a message over on I message to verify it and you can't use Imessage on an android until you verify it on an apple device

Not really, the issue with Apple (and I say this as an iPhone user) is that Apple gatekeeps to its own detriment. The rest of the world no longer uses standard SMS, but Apple forces us to use iMessage (which can only communicate with other iPhone users OR force us to communicate in an non-secure, slow and out-dated SMS). That is UNACCEPTABLE. I have friends who DO have Androids and them nor I should be punished for wanting to communicate. So the simplest solution would be for Apple to open access to iMessage to Android users, the second simplest would be for Apple to adopt RCS....or the third and worst option is....this, app development that allows Android users limited access to iMessage by tricking the system. It's not Android wanting to be Apple...it's Android trying to find a work-around for a problem created from Apple's greed.
