    Amazon is looking for employees not Owner Operators they low ball anything that they can't get covered by a company driver

      Thats how it works tho for us Owner operators tho. I go thru the same thing at my company I run for. They have a contract with Ryder but they give me the loads Ryder can't or doesn't want to cover

      I literally said the exact thing to someone last week! I ran my first contract with Amazon earliest this month. I've been signed up with Amazon since 2021. I've only used them to get me to a better area, and then power only loads of the spot market, when running without my trailer....or to stay loaded through the weekend. Those contracts are a straight up grind! Booked a two week contract, running out of RDU (Garner, Durham, Graham) and couldn't wait for it to be over. I was so close to rejecting the remainder of the trips after that first week... In the almost 3 years I've been an running, I've never run that hard. I also do heavy equipment and over-dimensional (RGN/Lowboy), so I'm not shying away from hard work...but this shit is different...

    Looks like the blocks pay less than a company driver can make as an employee that is not providing any equipment of his own.

    Only time I've seen 53 contacts worth it, is during peak season time otherwise they aren't worth it. Any blocks under $1500 is too risky not knowing the miles until the last minute.

    What are the insurance requirements for most brokers to work with a carrier?

    Those rates are trash. The blocks have to be $1200 per block or better for it to make sense, and that's still pushing it...

      Right. Even then you at 1.70 with all the miles they have you run in the 37 hr blocks. Stay away unless 1400 or better fr. 1200 is the absolute least I'll do it for even then I be kicking the hell outta myself😂

      36 hr blocks are like 700-900 miles but that’s round trip. Amazon gone use every second of the clock

    • @vicjjr31
      @vicjjr31 2 месяца назад +1

      That's the one of the reasons I stayed away from contracts for a long time. It's a mystery where you're going, or how many miles you'll run until 12 hrs. before your trip starts...

    Those are trash, you said you wouldn’t take the 500 loads for a semi but them you say 1k is good for a 36hr block you do realize that’s 500 a day with blocks either way

    do semi trucks without the trailer make the same amount of money as 26ft box trucks ? do anyone know ?

    • @BiggVic
      @BiggVic  2 месяца назад +1

      That all depends on how you run the truck and how you book freight for it. All of this factors matter in how much a truck makes. ✌🏾
