  • Quick video replacing a control arm on my mustang. This thing was causing a loud thumping sound when I was slowing down and when it came to a complete stop. I hope you find this video useful , and I’ll see y’all on the next one!

You do a great job of explaining how to remove and replace the control arm. Even a newbe could do the job. Keep on posting your videos, they are great.

As another guy commented: the bolt on the chassis side shall only be hand tightened.
Then put something under the wheel and let the car down a bit so there is load on the suspension.
Only then tighten the bold completely - and of course to the correct torque of 250 Nm.

Good video. Thank you. I especially liked when you threw the old arm on the floor in disgust. :) good comments too on using proper torque and loaded suspension. Super helpful

Why didn't you use torque specs? Also I thought you were suppose to tighten the last bolt while the suspension is loaded

Very informative for what it was. Problem is that's not what the search reveled for a REAR UPPER control arm. Not rear and not upper either. ;-)

You're going to be doing this all over again in a few months. That back bolt needs to be torqued to 184 ft lbs with the suspension loaded

That inner bolt was supposed to have torqued under load as if car was on the ground.

I don’t remember the part numbers but this is the site I used. Input your car facts and it’ll pull them up

Why haven't you gotten one piece replacement lugnuts? They sell them individually at almost any autoparts store.
