A truly excellent, super-informative video! It scares me to realize what an expensive mess I would have made of this relatively easy replacement if I hadn't watched this.
Excellent video! It's my wife's car and we had both a cracked headlamp unit & a xenon bulb that had gone and thought we had to change the WHOLE unit (at £662 in the UK). But just realised that it was the bulb & not the cracked headlamp. It will now get it's certificate of worthiness and sell that car! We had the 2.4i - Done 130k miles and it's the worst car we have owned in 40 years of driving. Heavy, gutless, poor suspension, tyre & suspension problems the whole time and water leaks into cabin when you open door if it's raining. Just bought an Audi TT along with my own Audi A6 - best and most reliable cars and amazing to drive. But, hey-ho! Good video Kurt
Sorry for the late reply. To project beams farther I recommend purchasing brighter aftermarket bulbs and use your high beams when no one is coming towards you. Unfortunately, C70 lens can not adjust higher without annoying oncoming traffic. I use hi beams whenever prudent on my Volvo C70
Where did you order your bulb? I have the same car with the bi-xenon headlights and need a new low beam bulb. Most of what I see online are upgrades for non xenon lights

Is there a control unit/computer? If so where is it located? I'm trying to convert mine back because whoever I bought it from had it downgraded from xenon to h7 smh
Try adding Dielectric Grease to all your metal contacts. If bumps cause it to go out your wires are losing connectivity. The grease is available where headlights are sold. If this doesn't help, replace your wire harness that connects to the bulb assembly. If that doesn't work, check your wiring for signs of wear against the frame. If it is the wiring you may need to see a local qualified mechanic. My gutt says the grease may do the trick.

That car has xenon bulbs not halogens. Halogens don't have ballasts.

Thanks ur great
My ballast won’t stay connected? I can’t make it stay on, any recommendations?
Video title says xenon bulb replacement, but in video you refer to it several times as halogen. Which is it?
xenon

Bjørn Skjerdal This video is only for the 2007 C70 convertible. The process is different for all other models.
My left head light turns off whenever there is a bump...could you tell me why ?
