  • The weather is perfect for picking herbs for drying, for tea over winter. If your medicinal plants are dried properly you can have medicine all through the winter.
If you are interested in using medicinal plants for your health and well being consider doing the Introduction to Herbal Medicine - here are the details
    www.danusirish...
There are other courses throughout the year too which you can attend in person. www.danusirish...
If you are more interested in the spiritual aspect of the plant kingdom and would like to make a deeper connection with Mother Earth and the Divine Feminine, have a look at the Wise Woman Way training.
www.danusirish... which is a transpersonal course drawing on shamanic and druidic techniques.
My little herb books, The Weed Handbooks Volume 1 and 2 are available through the shop www.danusirish...
The music and editing was by Lol Hardiman - thanks Lol! You can hear more of his music here / @lolhardiman5247 and at his website here - lolhardimanmus...
It's only about 4 weeks until The Yoga Picnic and the tickets are almost gone so if you would like to attend - I'll be doing a Herb Walk and Talk - use this discount code - danusirishherbgarden10
Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments, the stories of your own gardens and for sharing your lives with us- it is so lovely to keep in touch this way. xx

Today I heard a Native American woman, a basket weaver, say "Baskets are plants", and "Baskets are living things"!
I've long since often said "Wood is trees". Every timber in a house, and every piece of wooden furniture was once a tree!!! 💚

Good Sunday morning to you, from Texas!
Is there any way I can get some Mullein seeds from you? I use it, daily, and would LOVE to have it growing in my space!
One of my neighbor's cats has a horrible red rash, and she was panthing. I harvested some of my broad- leaf plantain, and told her how to make a tea, to pour on the poor critter. I don't know if it worked for her, yet. I hope so. I have learned so much from you! I keep you lifted, in my prayers.
I am so very grateful for your service to mankind!
    Peace

Thanks for my garden fix this week. I went out in my yard and gathered and cleaned up all I could within 20 minutes .. it’s not our time yet to harvest much and it’s been cooler that usual…..without much sun here on the mountain there is only so many things I can grown….and at my age not much hope of having such a marvelous garden such of yours…sometimes watching you in yours I feel like your “old” Nettle 🙁 😂 Still I try to grow what I can… sadly my Mullein didn’t take so well the last 2 years…so this year I’m trying some more shade tolerant plants & focus on what I can. Nonetheless Nothing better than sharing my life with the Plant world. Have a great week Terri!

Just got a few onion sacks from the local takeaway. Unpicked the stitching and peeled off the label. Will be stretching and tacking over a frame for drying. Will also use for covering vulnerable veg. I also got hold of large mayo buckets, put holes in bottom and planted tomatoes in them. Did a pyramid system with them and it worked well, using little space. The sacks are great for popping over jars with a band if you do mung beans. Just love your channel Terri, we learn and we give for a better life all round 🙏🏻

The Hawthorn is magnificent , will keep an eye out to see if there is many growing down here next spring x Oh those Lupens are incredible! I did not know that about the sweet Little Daisy aka Eye of Newt . There is a Naive plant here called Kawa Kawa which is a great blood purifier , would healer and can be used in cooking for its peppery flavour . Apparently in Maori healing the best leaves to pick are the ones the Bugs have nibbled because it shows the Plant is at it's peak Power wise .

so inspiring, I love your videos. Nettles dried and ground also make a wonderful natural colorant for soap making.

Where are you from in Nor Cal? I was born in Chico and raised there and in Sacramento. My parents are in Oroville now and I have a cousin in Red Bluff. Missing home now! 😂❤

I had a small accident last night when I was doing dishes. A large bamboo splinter from a spoon rest in my kitchen went under my thumb nail. OUCH!!I Thankfully, I recently saw lovely plantain growing just outside my garden gate. So even though it was dark, I knew exactly where to go for help. I made a poultice and held it there overnight with a bandage. This morning you can clearly see where the bamboo splinter went in but now it’s gone. I think it came out when I pulled my hand back at the moment of impact. It’s sore but nothing like I might have expected. And the wound looks good. Thank you, Terri.

I use Mullein for lung health. Can you do a film about plant proteins? I found out 30 years ago that I am allergic to echinacea because it has the same plant protein as golden rod, so when i would ingest it I would start wheezing. My college friend's Mom was an herbal Dr. He had asthma as a child and so he gave me advice to stop using echinacea and start using Mullein...and it worked...that and prayers...thankyou Terri. I enjoy the wealth of information you share to us❤ God bless you!🌹
