    What does "Kia ora" mean?
    "Kia ora" is a term from Te reo Māori, the language of the indigenous people of Aotearoa (New Zealand). It's a holistic term that can be used in lots of different situations. Translated literally, 'ora' refers to a state of living, or being alive. Adding 'kia' changes "ora" from a noun to a verb ('alive' to 'living'). So when you say kia ora to someone, you are wishing the essence of life upon them! "Kia ora" is commonly used as a greeting in Aotearoa, even though many of us (like me!) are not fluent in Te reo. I use it at the start of every video because it's important to me to share as much of the culture of this wonderful country as I can with you all. "Kia ora" can also be used as a way to say good luck, thank you and best wishes!

      Thank you! For this look I THINK (my memory is fuzzy lol) is an eyeshadow from a MAC palette that might be discontinued. It's called Moon Rock from the Solar Glow Times 9 Palette. I really like using eye shadow as highlight, it's more pigmented IMO :)

      Hi! It's quite a few different palettes and a few of them are discontinued so I'll try explain the colors the best I can.
      Crease: Mauve/taupe shade
      Outer corner: Dusty rose shade
      Lid: Pink iridescent shade with purple glitter
      Inner corner: Pearly cream
      Liner: Cocoa coloured shade

    I'm not from an English speaking country, so I've had this doubt from a long time (since I started watching ASMR): do doctors really ask for consent before touching you? If so, what do they do if you say no? How do they do the phisical examination (it's really hard without phisical contact)? From where I'm from it's not a thing. The idea is that if you go to the doctor (let's say you have a bad leg), you agree that the doctor will need to touch that leg.

    • @VestNest2011
      @VestNest2011 Год назад

      They don’t really ask like that

    • @quietfocused
      @quietfocused 7 месяцев назад

      Usually they don't but some doctors might choose to.

    • @rachelicey604
      @rachelicey604 20 дней назад

      They do tend to warn you before they touch you. For people who may not want to be touched, there are often ways to avoid touching or at least minimize contact. For example, a woman who has been a victim of sexual violence might request that only women doctors/nurses do certain exams. An domestic/child abuse victim might be allowed to loosely hold onto certain tools or a doctor’s wrist (allowing them to pull/push away, stop the exam to take a break, or have control over the situation if they feel uncomfortable). Some people with certain disorders or conditions might need different treatment or accommodations for health/safety reasons.
      In a nutshell, yes. Doctors tend to ask if things are ‘okay’, and they’ll work with you if it isn’t.
