Appreciate you getting a chance to stop by, watch and drop me on of your very gracious comments my friend! Take care and have a fantastic weekend yourself! ~ Jeff
I love the cover art as well, so much I bought the poster for my wall when the album came out. It’s seen better days but I still have it! Thanks so for watching and commenting ! Take care and talk soon! ~ Jeff
Hi Jeff… very cool ! I remember the day I bought this cd when it was released. I was so excited to have a new release during the reunion. I love the song choices they put on it. I still play it often. Did you see the next sound board is 1977 in September. I think if they repressed You Wanted The Best on vinyl it would sell well. Thanks Jeff. Chez
Chez my man, what is up my friend? Yes I play this one a lot as well as I am a huge fan of the first two live albums as well! I am excited about the new Off The Soundboard from 77 but on the same note a little disappointed that it’s going to be the same price but only a two album set instead of the usual three that they have been spoiling us with…lol! Oh well it is still a great year for KISS and a little surprised that one wasn’t out with Eric Carr on, I would have bet the bank he would have been up on the next release from that series! Thanks so much for watching and talking kiss for a bit with me buddy always great to hear from you! Take care and talk soon! ~ Jeff
Great compilation addition!!! I can honestly say it is my favorite compilation album next to double Platinum! Can't believe it's been 26 years! 1996 was a STELLAR year for us KISS fans and " You Wanted the Best" made it all the more spectacular. Thanks for sharing, take care
Hey Scott I can’t agree with you more, I love the album as well buddy! It finds it’s way onto my turntable quite often and for good reason! Take care and thanks for dropping by! ~ Jeff
Have a great day today Jeff. I am off to the beach. Its supposed to reach ninety degrees today here in Mass. I am late as it is. I wanted to get there by 7:00 am. I will talk to you this evening~
Hey Rob! Life is always a beach with you buddy! Enjoy your day and your weekend, glad to hear you are putting aside a little relaxing time for yourself! Take care and talk to you soon! ~ Jeff
Good evening Jeff. Boy was it is a nice day on the shores today. A little hot but the water was sublime. I swam for about two hours early this morning. Actually I floated a lot and swam a little. But it was nice. The tide was way out early and the sand was smooth and cool. I feel whole and peaceful when I am there. It is the one place that I can truly reach the heights of relaxation. >< I really liked the intro. If I had to name one band member that helped me gain respect for this band it would be Paul Stanley. The guy is always clearheaded, real and well spoken. >< Glad that you mentioned 1996. I was a little confused about all. I think I mentioned it in one of my last comments. I thought that they were broken up at that time with the original lineup. It was good to hear Paul talking about how much the grew and matured when they went their separate ways. Pleases me to know that they still respect one another. >< Boy. I think I would have thrown down on that Kissteria Box Set if I knew that it was released from the start. That is before the price went up a few hundred dollars. It looks like a fantastic release. I like the idea of adding "If You Wanted The Best You Got The Best" to the box. It makes it even rarer. I am stoked to see you holding a copy. >< Did you get one of the 500 pressed picture discs 40th anniversary pressings of Music Of The Elder? It looks really nice. Another excellent Kiss related post Jeff. I always look forward to seeing another one. Have a super Sunday. Stay cool~ Rob/Boston
Good afternoon Rob! I figured you would be enjoying yourself all day at the beach, the Endless Summer is finally upon us and everyone knows that this is the time of the year you wait for so patiently and to be honest so do I buddy. You are drawn to the warm weather fun just like a moth is drawn hopelessly to the flame but without the same sad ending result. In our case fun and excitement is our flame that draws us along with so many others who desperately need to feel that sense of Euphoria after seven months of Cabin Fever…lol! I totally agree with you about Paul Stanley, he and Gene may have both been credited as cofounders but I don’t think KISS would have survived all these years if Paul was the one who decided to leave the band. Together Gene and Paul are a force to be recon with but a lot of the talent comes from within Paul Stanley. He does most of the song writing, most of the singing and I believe puts out a lot of the fires that erupt from within the bands egos because of his level headed persona. I was so glad to grab an original copy back on the release date but was really disappointed that they still haven’t reissued this exclusive and the others as of yet. Well they did release Greatest Kiss exclusively through their website and both NammaN and I grabbed a copy so now my boxset will be completed once it gets here in a few days. I passed on the picture disc only because I have my 180 gm copy of The Elder and my days of buying multiple pressings of the same copy has been over for a while. With that being said I would get other copies if there was new material on it like some of their albums like Alive II with side 4 having new tracks or KISS Killers that had 4 new unreleased tracks mixed in with a greatest hits album. Hopefully some time on the beach is just what the doctor ordered for your healing process from surgery and all is going well with your recovery. Looking forward to seeing you get back in front of the camera and showing us all those amazing pickups and concert stubs and stories from back in the day. One more note September Off The Soundboard will be releasing a 1977 concert once again with the original lineup…two in a row, how awesome is that? Talk to you soon buddy and thanks so much for watching and commenting, as always your friendship and support is always much appreciated over all these years! Take care ! ~ Jeff
I am going to miss the chat today Dec 8th Jeff. But I just wanted to give you my best and hope that everything goes well. Go get em' Jeff. Tell NammaN that I said hello~
When I here 1986 , I get excited ! You got some of the best Kizz stuff that I know of ! Beautiful album cover ! I missed out on this album and I have looked it up in the past , it is pricey. Keep doing what you do amigo !! 👍
Hey Jay, Great hearing from you! You are spoiling me with all of your compliments my friend! Yes this album was definitely one of the albums to have picked up on release day…and so glad I did. LoL! awesome pickup Jeff. is there any kiss release u dont have on vinyl? Is the Linear turntable new ?? Love it. the only type of turntable i use, cheers my Friend!!
Hey Lee hey are you doing brother? The album I bought brand new when it came out along with the wall poster because it has such great artwork on it? I also bought the whole Kenwood system which is remote control brand new in 1987 and included the Linear tracking turntable. The entire system is still going strong and served me well over the years! Thanks for watching and commenting my friend always a pleasure hearing from you! Take care and talk to you soon! ~ Jeff CHEERS 🍻
Not one I purchased. I didn't because I didn't feel it was value for money. My friend obtained it though. I know you have it Jeff because you like to collect everything Kiss.
Hey Robert awesome hearing from you! Understandable why you and others would pass this one up as I almost did realizing it was basically the first 2 Alive albums compressed plus 4 unreleased which ultimately swayed me as only KISS knows how to do…LoL Thanks for watching and your comment my friend always enjoy hearing your thoughts! Take care and talk to you soon! ~ Jeff
No one reviews KISS better than you, my friend! Thank you! Have a great weekend!🤘👊😎
