Thank you for the video !!. Not only did it "fix" the no SSB TX output on the 7300, but also helped with fixing a monitor output level on my 7100. I kept searching the 7100 manual for sidetone.
Thanks for posting this. add me to the list of folks who had no output and thought there was something wrong with my rig. Thanks to you I’m back in business👍
Thank you very much Dear,🤝🤝🤝 ,,,NO WORDS ENOUGH TO SAY THANK YOU,,, SINCE LAST FEW WEEKS I IN MUCH STRESS DUE TO feedback noise in ic 7300,,, i m thinking that ic7300 had serious damage , n it should be repaired from authorised center,,,,😓, But you sliced my issue very easily thank you again
Makes a nice change to see a video with no shaking out of focus camera, unintelligible speech and never ending waffle. I'm thinking of getting one of these rigs and your vid will be very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you for the tip regarding no ssb output!!! I spent the weekend scratching my head in frustration until I stumbled on to your excellent video. And you’re right: I think it was caused by the RS-BA1 software. I can’t thank you enough - I was almost certain I would have to send the rig in for repair or at least trying a full reset. 73, Ken, N0IZE
Thanks for the vid, i just got caught out with the no transmit of ssb, as i have used FT8 so hence a setting which have now fixed after seeing this video. Thanks.
Yes that Mic setting caught me out with loss of SSB transmission. Yes and due to some control software I tried. Many thanks for this, much appreciated.
Thank you for this video. I had this exact problem and thought it was my auto tuner. In the process of trouble shooting the problem I reset my radio and that solved the problem. I just wish I had watched your video before I reset the radio without saving all my settings. Of course if I had watched first I would not have reset the radio!
4:20 was my exact problem. I wondered why nobody can hear me lol. I was tryign to setup the Icom remote software (which failed to work btw). Thanks for the tip sir!
Great tutorial, I just recently got this radio then just got my General yesterday, have not power the radio on just yet, looking to make space for it and mount it. I also have the IC-7100 from few months back but it is also new, never powered on yet. with the IC-7300 I am putting together a to go system for picnic tables and car camping. The weight of everything so far is around 40 pounds but it is including a 1510 Pelican case which has wheels. Can't wait to announce my upgrade on the air. 73 from Rody, KI7CSI
Helpful. Mine set off air for over 6 months and when I put it back on no power out! I did a reset and now it still has no power. I love consistency! I'll have to go back through this video again and see if I can get it to work. Thanks much.
Thank you for the videos for the 7300. I just purchased one a month ago. I am CW/Digital op and have not even tried keying the mic yet, but at least I have an idea where to look now if I have feedback or no output signal. Thanks de KN3A
There is another MIC + USB setting on the data out mode that you didn't scroll down to. That is the one that I usually use so that I can alternately use phone and data modes without changing from USB to MIC every time I want to change from phone to data or vice-versa. I didn't see that MIC + USB setting at first because it is hidden unless you arrow down.
Great video! Thanks for all the info.... have you ever checked to see how big the saved files are on the SD card? And..how large of an SD card(capacity) are you using....I doubt I will record much audio...TNX
Thanks for the loss of SSB tip. Was looking online at warranty info 'til I came across your vid. Checked and found it was the problem. Maybe because I have been using it only for digital so far. Again thanks. Terry WB4EQJ
Hi I have this same setup. The com 7300 and the MFJ 993B Tuner. Do you use the MFJ 5124I Cable too ? We ran into this no transmit problem with this radio on field day 2022.
Great INFO!!! New Ham here. I was trying to get the MFJ 929 to interface with the ICOM 7300. At first the frequency on the MFJ 929 did not change from the default 0.000MHz. Then suddenly the MFJ 929 displayed the frequency that was on the ICOM 7300. But as I changed bands on the ICOM 7300 the display on the MFJ 929 just stayed on the last frequency it had. Is there anything that I'm doing wrong? Or is the MFJ 929 in need of repair? Thanks for any information!
I have a problem that is causing me to consider sending the 7300 in for repair. Let me explain. When I transmit, the receiver doesn't go to the receive mode immediately afterwards. It normally takes 5-10 seconds to hear the frequency again. Any ideas?
I have aICom7300 and I have low power when transmitting. There is no blue line coming out at transmitting but does on receive. And the I'd is between 2nd and 3rd dot on I'd. Tried what you did but didn't help. Was in usb but now mic. Any ideas. Please and thanks 73.
Mine, (1st one of these for me), is on the way! I have two quetions; I'm thinking the radio can be operated/used without the SD card? Where can I get a stylus pen like the one you're using to tap the screen with? And thanks for your video, and all other Icom 7300 videos as I am more accustomed to doorstops and cinderblocks in the realm of analog radios, lol!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Somehow doing a firmware update i decided to wipe my saved settings on my disk, well it was 5 am and i couldn't sleep and i'm kind of slow anyway so there ya go. Oh thanks so so much. Wish me luck. I had my radio set perfect with a friends help and lost everything.
I was out of town and saw a possibility of storms so foolishly asked XYL to disconnect the coax. She took it on herself to disconnect everything. Now I have power and sound but no transmission heard on any band. What has happened? KG5RVR
Hi just bought a 7300 before that I had a yeaso 450d on a dismount cp6s antenna when I was on my 460d my s w r was good .now it's over the top 3.4 the only one that is 1.1 is 28.000.00 going up the rest to high any thoughts why I have looked at my plugs and earth wire all ok I even took the earth wire out the back of the 7300 just to see it that would help , but still the same . Thank you for any suggesting any thing from across the pond in East Yorkshire G4 KOH my name is ken .
I've just got everything set up and I can hear everything but I can't seem to get anything to transmit. When I key up an talk the m scope doesn't show anything on the waterfall. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Made sure mic was chosen like you showed but nothing seems to be getting out. My son does get some hum in his headphones when I transmit so I assume something is getting out. Any help would be appreciated. Max KZ8MAX
Thanks very much for sharing this information. I’ve been having trouble with presets (Normal and FT8) not seeming to work properly. If you have experience using presets on the ic-7300 I’d much appreciate hearing them. Thanks again and 73 (KK7CSC).

I watched all your videos and they are all excellent! Thank you. I would like to see a video using an external keyboard to operate RTTY on the Icom 7300. There is no way, I believe, to type a reply immediately after a reply to CQ without going to the onboard keyboard. It takes too long.
Although there is currently no option to do so, it should be very easy to add keyboard function to the IC-7300 using the RS-BA1 remote control software. I'm also disappointed that you can't scroll through the memory channels with the main tuning dial. Hoping that Icom will consider that in a future firmware update. Otherwise the radio is really nice.

I have a question for you. I have just got the 7300 and I noticed that sometimes on the display I see a faint red word that tends to flicker on and off not all the time but sometimes. It shows up flickering faintly on the meter screen at the top of the screen between the Fil2 box and the SD card icon. It is very faint and it reads either QVF or OVF, Like I said this doesn't happen all the time and just comes and goes on various bands. I can't find anything in the manual on this. Are there too many flaws in this radio? Should I steer away from this product? Why did Icom release this radio with all these flaws?
I have watched a dozen of these vidos. not on tells how to turn the volume up or down.
You go thru the menu items too fast, I can barely see what options you select. I canceled at 5 minutes.

The touchscreen is LCD, and the lighting is LED. It should last a lifetime.
