- It is often said, but reading the manual can be the number one way to figure out any issues that you are having with a device. Have no fear, however, since I will keep making videos, to break down the details that you want to know about the IC-7300. In the episode, I give my impression of the IC-7300 Basic and Full Manual. I don't see a need to print a manual but I have a 50 inch monitor so it
s a lot easier to read on my screen then on paper. It is a good idea to read the full manual. I was annoyed that on the MW band the sensitivity would decrease drastically. Finally I read there is a setting which is set by default to MW ATT (attenuate MW band). Turned that off
I tried to send it online to Officeworks so they can put it in a binder but it says the file is password protected, some further investigation show me I can open it and print on my own printer but I have no copy permission so I can’t upload it to an online service.
I could put it on a flash drive and take it to the counter as long as they print directly and not upload it into their program (I’m making assumptions here).
A Canon camera manual got the same error message.
When i do an swr check I’m at 1.5 with 1% or watt. When i increase the power to 5% or 50-60-80% or watts. My swr goes over 3.0. Any ideas? Thanks guys.
Due to non-linearities in the detector diodes, the VSWR metering needs a certain "minimum power" before it becomes acceptably accurate. You need to measure with powers >10W.
Jersey John is right. Reading any manual is better on your computer or laptop. Printing it costs a small fortune, whether you go to a store or print yourself. On an iPad, you can use the Books app, which is easier to use than paper.
Why can't I select my own ssb...I don't want automatic...I need4to set my own LSB or USB...when I change bands it does it automatically...I don't like that

Suggestion... before you tell people how to set up their rigs, you should have yours updated and programmed correctly (or better than from the factory) as it will be vastly better AFTER programming!
Why would you not....... read the manual? Duh!
My tip for you, is to read the manual for your printer. Look for how to print on both sides of the paper. Ridiculous waster of paper.
