It's funny cause I play this moba game. I know when my brain is not at full function so on vacation days I don't beat myself up over it. I only pick games and hobbies I have room to make many mistakes ro chill at.
When you are not on ADHD meds you are just not at full peak sharp mind. But you are still you and you can push through your brain being so stubborn and wanting to procrastinate and no one will understand how exhausting it is.
Meds help a lot, but your heart is what shines. So stay positive and even if it's temp or whatever it is. Just remember your gonna work hard and enjoy your life and do whatever it takes to get to the next level to enjoy it even more.

Wow, thank you so much! This is the truth ❤️ we don't need to fit to life's requirements, we can fit life to our requirements and go at our own pace. There is no doubt we can all do anything we set our minds to! (with enough time and dopamine)

I can confidently say even though I take Adderall, I'm used to it, I don't "feel" it anymore but the motivation boosting is always there. Nothing is ever "hard" anymore. Am I distracted still, yes. Am I still all over the place somedays, yes. Sometimes, these behaviors come from anxiety and look like ADHD but the ability to get up and take care of my life is always still there on the meds. I also don't crash anymore. I only take 10mg XR in the morning. 10 is enough for me when I do feel it though so I'm comfortable with my brain being a bit better than my normal mess of a brain and not increasing the dose.

For those who get extrem thirst and exhaustion, insomnia from Vyvanse should try taking a good quality magnesium complex at night and magnesium taurate or malat in the morning.
That's how I got rid of my nasty sides effects otherwise that would never disappear.
Additionally as many studies show daily supplementing with methylated B vitamins ,omega 3 ,d3-k3 vitamin may be very beneficial for adhd people.

It's best to consult with your insurance company and potential healthcare providers for the most accurate information. You can definitely ask before you go into treatment. Week 2, 36mg (2x18mg tablets) then week 3, 54mg (3x18mg tablets) I’ll end up forgetting to take them as I do that with other medications for anxiety & depression or getting the dosage muddled up! It’s all fair and well using pill organisers with days on the box and have alarms set and everything else you can think of, it’s just I seem to always turn the alarm off when it’s supposed to then that’s the point I forget what the alarm was for and then don’t take any meds… 🙄 it’s a nuisance lol 5/7 days I would get so far to work and realise I’ve forgotten to take it lol yep a complete mind blank.

Next 7 days (currently where I’m at) definitely have noticed some difference but nothing huge like better concentration, being able to focus on one particular thing with not much distraction, sleeping on this medication is better, my memory has slightly improved, fidgeting still remains and I have had zero side effects… when medication wears off I have had zero crashes but I can say for sure that I noticed been “back to normal” with full on making mistakes and not knowing which way an elevator was going if I had 2 guesses lol. This Saturday I’ll be on 3x18mg and I can already tell that’s where I should start noticing a lot more in detail plus heart rate and blood pressure have been completely normal! Hope your experience is as good as mine! Let me know how you do 😊

I have never heard from anyone around me that sensitivity to smells increases with stimulant medications. 😮😮 On the contrary, for everyone I have communicated with, medication has brought many sensitivities, including to smells, to a bearable level. Side effects are indeed very varied... Perhaps the relationship between smell sensitivity and medication differs for individuals with mild ADHD compared to those with moderate ADHD.

If you feel that you are not being listened to or that your medical needs are being ignored, then you are a victim of medical neglect. Report the doctor to their superior, any national charity or organisation advocating for ADHD awareness as well as the Ministry of Health- in writing. It is not just your doctor's job but also their duty to improve your quality of life using research-based modern medicine. No medical doctor can force you to take ADHD medication, and no one should or can deny you the right to be medicated once you are diagnosed. If there are concerns about the effects of the medication on the cardiovascular system, the reasons for these concerns, alternative treatments, and the process of controlled administration and monitoring of the medication if the patient insists on trying it should be explained to you. The situation you are experiencing is very unfortunate. I hope you can find a doctor who understands you as soon as possible. But please report this doctor so they do not do the same to someone else. Unfortunately there are ignorant people who don't follow research and deny neurodiversity even in the medical world. Don't allow them to make such a life-changing decision on your behalf, and please report the doctor immediately.
