- Hello All!! here is a noise test of the xbox 360s fan variants they go by order DC, Sunon, Nidec. I loaded a disc so you could hear the noise comparison with a disc also! God bless and Thanks for viewing!
My Xbox 360 sounds like it’s about to take off. But when you get into a game, you won’t even hear it if the game volume is loud enough.

The Xbox sounds cool. I have one from the first time I touched a video game. Makes the same noise. Pretty mysterious I you dive deep into how it works.

My xbox 360 has been fully stripped with new thermal paste,one of the most quite consoles i own,definitely worth it doing it
I think the OG Delta fans sound the best in the xenon consoles but Nidec and Sunon definitely work the best, I like the sunons over the nidec because even if they are quite heavy if you hold them they are the quietest and the best working.
Hi sorry for the late reply! I agree! Ive had better experience with Sunon fans on 360 than the latter, my replacement console in 2006 a Core System came bundled with Sunon fans and was really silent didnt hear any thermal throttling of fans at all, unlike my first DC launch console which would get louder and louder over time however yes DC fans had quite a distinctive sound pretty much makes the og 360 sound in a way.

Oh no if the Xbox 360 is memorable for was being the noisiest console around! but still also my favorite console of all from the design to the games that came out for it!
This video made me buy a pair of sunons, they are quite a bit better than deltas and i love their sound.
Yeah I like the Sunons better as well some people complain they are loud but they aarent bad at all!

That 360 with nidec fans i know has liteon drive (so it must be falcon or jasper), because i have three 360s with liteon drives

The original 360 sounds like a nuclear reactor while on, the fan makes such an alien sound.

Nidec fans are really good, I have two of their Beta V fans running in one of my servers and they get good airflow and are just built to last compared to others.
Yeah I would say Nidec fans are the best case fans out there but in the case of the Xbox 360 they didnt really do a good job Microsoft ended up going full DC fans instead up to the last Jasper systems. its odd how they constructed the internal cooling but still i like the original 360 design iver the slim and the E which to me are ugly lol
@@Decofanblade The Nidec fans seem to be built for static pressure mainly over airflow, so they probably switched for more airflow. This is kinda off-topic but i'll ask anyways, what kind of contacts do you use for your alarm setups? I am setting up my little Radionics panel and I want to protect my window, for now I am using limit switches on doors as you'll see in my next video on it. I would prefer contacts though.
@@KJ7BZC Yeah seems to be the case for Nidec ive used their blower fans and they do the job amazingly! Sunon ive used them for overal case ventillation and they arent bad either DC is the first time ive seen them tbh. No problem! the contacts i use are magnetic generic ones and as for motion i use Honeywell Intellisense Dual tec motions and DSC as well theyve all pretty much served the purpose! would love to see your video!!
@@Decofanblade Alright, The Honeywell motions and the sharpshooter ones seem to be the best out there, especially the dual-tec ones. The only problem with the generic contacts i've found is that the wires will break off of them and render it useless, I like the ones with screw-terminals better. I might be getting some panels soon and I am curious what I should do with them. The panels are a Radionics D9412gv3 (finally), a DMP XR-500, and a Napco GEM-P3200. Do you have any ideas on what to monitor with them?
@@KJ7BZC oh nice!! you got really good panels going! for the Radionics I would use that to protect overall environmet since it is a heay duty panel the one you got! so that could protect your entryway and overall perimeter and interior, your Napco Gemini system could be used to cover all your cabinets closets drawers and anything hidden, and your DMP i would use it as a silent alarm in case both panels are defeated! not really big fan of DMP but not bad either I was reading the manual for the one you have and seems very complete so its a flip between Napco and DMP but id rather use Napco for the overall cabinets protection since im going from greater to lesser in capabilities Radionics first DMP last! but that would be my setup! Ill do a video of my setup in a little while today!
i have a nidec one from 7-2008 and its from after they fixed the cpu issues. do you know what years are yours?

Nidec fans are so good, my falcon system from May 2008 has them and I can hardly hear them. On the other hand my 2009 jasper has delta and they are so loud, the deltas have a really distinct noise to them
I agree, personally i replaced the deltas with the sunon fans and it is so much better.

@@the_game_cartridge9187 they have a love or hate it sound, i happen to love the alien-ish sound.
Sadly Sunons get hate for the sound they make but I honestly like it, like @PrismatiX said alienish and also a nostalgic factor for me as my first 360 core system had a Sunons in it!

I was wondering why mine got so hot and was so loud on the dashboard. Turns out one of my fans isn’t working 🕺🏻
mine sounds nothing like this the fans are always constant idle or playing a game even after thermal paste replacement and cleaning
What would you recommend for a Zephyr system? It came with Deltas and I really hate their noise. I kinda like the alien-ish sound of the Sunons, so was thinking about getting a pair of those, but if Delta really provides that much more airflow/CFM I guess I'll deal with it.
For a zephyr stay away from Nidec as ive geard they have lower RPMs (i could be wrong) but Sunons and DC work!

I'm kinda confused, did they use different fans with each revision or they assembled these with randomly selected fans? I have a Jasper and it makes the same sounds as the first console in the video with DC fans yet people in the comments say their Jaspers run Nidecs???
The fans will be random. But if you haven't changed the paste or cleaned it in a while it'll be pretty loud regardless

I had 2 xbox 360s my elite sounds like the 1st one but when I put a disc in it sounds like the last one, and my other one (which I gave away) sounded like the second
At This Moment i am taking out and cleaning my fan from my old xbox 360 60GB version to my new Xbox Core but noise is so loud i hope will be like the last xbox when i am done

Third one is Zephyr!

Hey Dino, It began to fail, randomly it would come on especially in a vertical orientation, but other than that I guess it was just faulty. Also that console was dated back to 2006 so could be age too?

Hi, the two 360s (Sunon and DC are Xenon dated 2006) the Nidec 360 is a Jasper one.
