Hey Cris, I am a fairly new subscriber and my wife and I are getting into the hiking world in the SoCal area after living in Oregon for a couple years. Your guides have been a great help and inspiration. Just started our channel with intents to be heavily hiking and backpacking content. Would you ever be open to having viewers meet up to hike along with you and learn some of your techniques and skills?
Thank you for the note and glad the guides are helpful. I stopped doing in-person hikes and group hikes after insurance got crazy. I do however give talks and do QAs once and a while. If your library, company, etc. hires speakers, throw my name in there. They're a good time to talk, ask questions, etc.
I was just thinking to myself, "This looks so familiar. I think I got there via Blue Jay." I'm taking your comment as confirmation. That said, I hated the drive up to Blue Jay. My kryptonite is those narrow mountain roads. 😅
When you walk through a stream like you did in the video, it sure you can let your shoes air dry but what do you do with your socks then? Surely it can’t be good to wear wet socks the rest of the day?
Just let them dry on my feet. Wear Darn Tough merino wool socks and quick drying trail runners. It's the move that most through hikers do for the last several years and works well.
Last weeks visit of Three sisters falls in San Diego was flowing more than I ever seen it. Thanks for the guide!
Thank you for your content!!!
Great analysis of the hike, love the scenery and the waterfalls
Thanks for taking us along.
We hike it yesterday and it was awesome . Thank you for your great work 🙏

What a beautiful day loop hike!
I was just at the trailhead yesterday! Wish I met you!
You do a great job. Thank you
You do great work. Thanks
Will try it out one day.
Great spot. I’ve done Sitton a number of times, but haven’t explored the other side. Lmk if you need a hiking buddy!
I was there today. But hiked it from the Blue Jay Campground. Last year the flow was even more impressive.
