    This is a very good video guys, nice job! Can you make one using a regular UT Flaw Detector and the PAUT Machine scanning the same weld so others can see how much the difference is?

    Do we have to grind down weld to get a more accurate test? Why is team having me remove “scale” off the cap grinding it down flat and smooth ? Shouldn’t they be using probe on the base metal and not going over the cap? Thought paut was such a great test or are we getting played so the job can last longer

    Only worked with phased array antennas with broadcast type frequencies. Pretty interesting

    Last time I used ultrasonics for testing we were using it and the Doppler effect for fluid flow measurements in pipe. We used to go and buy jumbo tubes of KY Jelly to improve contact between the head and pipe in our case. Peak embarrassment for the Apprentice - send them shopping for supplies 😆
