Nice video Bob, that dual shield runs in there nice when the settings are in the ballpark. I’ve been running . 045 dual shield in the 6g for several months now. For me I’m running around 23.5v and 300 ipm with a very slight push( which isn’t preferred by most) but it seems to lay flatter for me. The the amount of passes and layers that I’ve been runnin it keeps me from having to worry about any cold lap or trapping anything. So far I haven’t had any issues with UT. The joints are on 20” diameter pipe with a root opening of 5/8” up to 2.25” depending of fabrication busts lmao. Sometimes I can weld a joint in a day sometimes they take damn near a week to fill out 😂. Always enjoy your content
Not a bad show you got here Bob. Ive been a boilermaker here in Western Australia for the last 20 years. Everywhere ive worked that runs fluxcore its been 100% co2. Only ever ran mixed gas with solid wire. Tried fluxcore at home with 75/25 and kept getting worm tracks but once i swapped back to co2 the problem vanished.
Can you guys make a video about Tig torches? I mean there are a lot of them, some are air cooled others water cooled, different sizes, flex head valves etc, also maybe complementary you may talk a bit about tungstens
Bob. glad you are back into making videos...I really enjoy them.👍 However.....that music has got to go!👎 Really takes away from enjoying the videos. I hit the mute button every time it starts up.
Great video Bob.. I always learn something watching your videos..
Absolutely the best
