Unknown. She's a rescue, picked up as a stray pup in Portugal (not by us - by a dog rehoming charity). Our best guess is some cross containing some blend of whippet (or maybe Iberian greyhound) and terrier type genes. We've considered getting her dna tested, but a lot of those things are just scams (especially the ones that require a photo of the dog).
As a geologist, I do appreciate Evas contributions to our knowledge about rocks. I'm still working on recreating her thesis on levitating rocks, no luck so far.
Best Advent Calendar day of all! Love to see Eva. My little Patterdale is no longer with us and I miss her terribly, so Eva really cheers me up. Thank you Mr Shrimp.
I am so sorry to hear of your distress and very much understand as I lost my Banjo in July but fortunately I have Cooper and Indi. Patterdales are so much fun i do hope you continue to have a dog in you life, remember you can always be a foster mum and see how things go, a dog rescued for no mater how long is a success. So nice to see Eve go zoooom. Best wishes to you.
I LOVE THIS THE MOST. Thank you. Eva barking at extremely random choice rock who thought it was just going to have a quiet afternoon is my next drawing challenge.
...actually, doing all 8 stages is EXACTLY what I need to have a lovely, even if lonely, Christmas. Mr. Shrimp, I am so glad you are going to get a million soonish. Have a very happy Crimbo and a joyous new year :)
I love the way we find names for our animal companions' idiosyncratic behaviours: in Eva's case - "the zoomies". My cat, Henry, charges about the house, bounding up and down the stairs, in and out the windows. This phenomenon is known as "hurtling". When he hurtles, he assumes his alter ego, Myrtle the Hurtle Turtle. Seasons greetings from Henry and me to Mr Shrimp, the lovely Jenny, and all those who take pleasure in random stuff not necessarily in a can.
Here's my top 3 favourite advent videos so far: 1. Mr & Mrs Shrimp sitting on the floor playing with Lego bricks and building stuff. 2 Putting up the Christmas tree 3. This one, featuring Eva the doggo.
I wasn’t sure I could watch this as I’ve just lost my dog 3 weeks ago but I made myself and Eva has given me such joy. The love of canine simplicity is immense.
Well, that made my face ache from smiling ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing your lovely pup, both here and throughout. We have a three and a half year old working cocker rescue and, although I could crown him for his high pitched barking at times, the joy he brings is phenomenal. All hail our canine companions ❤️❤️❤️
The best day ever. I love dogs, they make my life happy and complete. Dogs love live in the moment, a good lesson for us all. You have a beautiful bond with Eva.
My wife insisted that I comment and tell you that this is her favourite video that you've ever done. We both love Eva very much. Happy Christmas from our home to Shrimp Cottage
When I'm in a palindromic mood it's Eva who I most want to question.// Eva, can I stab bats in a cave? // Eva, can I stir grits in a cave? // Eva, can I pose as Aesop in a cave? // But then sometimes I just want to get away from everything, including myself. Eva can I evade Dave in a cave? // Thank you Mr. Shrimp for being there for us when ever we need cheesy comestibiles or madcap antic doggo action or foraged mushrooms or dystopian newsreel footage. By simply persuing your interests you have welcomed in an audience that thrives on this variety of entertainment. Perhaps all of us are secretly named Mange Tous, for we will gladly lap it up!
Thank you, Mr. Shrimp, for the gift of these advent videos. Not only is it loads of fun to learn a bit more about you, but this one especially brightened my day in an already wonderful holiday season. Sending you love from the States!
This is by far our cats’s favourite episode! We will have to watch it with them again and again! Thank you for this special treat for our furry companions ❤
This may be my favourite of all your videos, the unbridled laughter and happiness at Eva's zoomies at the end was infectious. What a fantastic companion.
I always have to get a cuppa to sit down and watch the advent calendar. This is heaps better than a physical one. Very green and friendly with no waste. Love Eva's appearances😅
I just lost my Cookie after 11 wonderful years. She was every bit as vibrant and rambunctious as Eva, so it makes me happy to see how much fun Eva is having. God's loveliest creatures, dogs are.
I love Eva's appearances in your videos, even when it's just the odd offscreen bark in things like your cooking videos. It's clear from this video just how much you care for Eva, and the joy she brings you in return.
Oh yes! We couldn’t forget about Eva! One of the best calender days yet. She is so adorable. She remembers me a lot of my dog ( also a stray and looked a lot like Eva)
So glad Eva got her own window. Her tail has a life of its own. Such a lovely little dog deserves the nice home that she has. Wishing Eva a very merry Christmas! ❤
Thanks so much! Eva is the reason I started watching the channel, she is lovely and cute! My family used to have a female dog called Raisin, who looked very much like Eva... a dog of many talents. Like Eva she was a fantastic runner, and learned how to climb a ladder, and sit on your shorders to come back down. She knew how to jump up your leg to climb a horse and ride with you. She would dig and hide food in the garden and forget about it. Later would find it partially decomposed and try to eat it anyway 😂. Watching Eva makes me remember Raisin and smile.
This little bit of Eva made me ridiculously happy. Thank you for this and for a lovely advent calendar. You my favourite channel by miles. I really appreciate you. Merry Christmas to you and yours and all souls that meet here.
This one was my favourite advent video. I laughed and smiled throughout, but then I like dogs so much more than people. Thank you Eva, especially for the zoomies!
"Where's Kevin?" To my surprise, then shock, then I literally LOLd, when Kevin is revealed to be a pig. I think the realization in the name took about 3 seconds.
I always thought Eva should have her own show ,and here it is! She's such an amazing dog because she has amazing owners! She has the energy of 10 puppies.
Love it! Eva being show-cased! I wish my little Foxy was as able and energetic, but sadly she lost a back leg as a puppy (before I rescued her from abuse and neglect) and the impact has made her spine unstable. However, she watched Eva with me and was cheering her on the whole time! She wants to know when her share of the toast tax will arrive . . . Much love to Eva from 11 yr old Lily, in NZ.
This is the best day of the advent calendar so far! Love seeing Eva, especially since we lost our Italian Greyhound earlier this year. Eva's mannerisms are similar to our dog's.
This time with Eva brings me back to my childhood in the 1960s. I had a dog that looked exactly like her, except he was a male dog, and his legs were just a tad shorter. He too dug in circles, but not at rocks. He played the same way, but his "Kevin" was with my leather gloves! He loved to steal them and then play tug of war. Seeing so much of Eva brings a tear to my old eyes.
Hearing small dog make very convincing big dog sounds, so nice. I've wound up with another one more boisterous than my last. He's a big lump and his teeth are the least dangerous part of him when he's playing too! But when he really forgets himself with excitement he yaps _just_ the same way as Eva.
Beautiful dog. Such a cutie as others have said. I do hope Santa spoils her this Christmas. Being a stray, I doubt you know how old she is, so Christmas day could be her birthday too. I have had dogs almost all my life, but not able to keep one now, sadly. I do miss all our dogs though, and our cats too. We used to be a multi pet family and never were without a dog or cat or both. I would love one, but i wouldn't be able to afford to keep one now. Still, the neighbours Jack Russell is such a sweet dog too. I have great fun with him when the neighbour is in the shared garden behind the house. I sit on my chair and throw his toy to him. He doesn't fight with me either. He semms to sense i am disabled and gives me the toy willingly to throw for him again. Merry Christmas everyone.
Looooool so much fun, makes me think of my partners their dog. A Jack Russel. Shes so fast zooming too and have a teddy named Tommy. Also very gentle with getting a little treat. Have a wonderful end of the year Mister Shrimp and Jenny. Much love from your Overseas Neighbors😁
As I stand here on this celebration of Yule, the sacred wheel of the year has turned once again and it is now midwinter. As my forebears did, I do now, and so may my descendants do in times to come. It is the Solstice, the longest night and shortest day. Today I celebrate the return of the Sun. Merry Christmas to you and yours Mike
Our Rottweiler, Nala has a plushy baseball ball, her 'baby'. It took her a few weeks for her to realise it was for swinging about with. She's had it since she was a pup (2016). It's nice to see other dogs have an equivalent 'baby'
Oh thank you so much, iI really, really loved this. Reminded me of my Jack Russell Holly, but unlike Eva sheloved the sea to the extent it was hard to get her out of it. Thank you again, it'a made my day.
That's really cute! What breed is it?
@AtomicShrimp Cool, didn't know dog dna tests are often scams, now I know to watch out.
@@AtomicShrimp I think Eva is part ratonero. Shes an absolute cutie
My yawn buttons were pressed as well, looking at that
@@AtomicShrimp Rescue - the best dog breed by far.

Another geoscientist here. Let us know if you ever succeed!
@kxs7267 Should I share the Nobel Prize?
Just know that if you manage it, any children of yours will get an admittance letter from Hogwarts on their 11th birthday 😉
@@MsAnpassad oh yes, definitely. Eva could be the first canine to get a share.
I'll peer review the paper... :-)
LOL
Mid-video recording "Oh Eva would you shut up" moments are my favourite aspect of this channel 🤣
LOL, sheer frustration when Eva goes nuts over a stone! A doggy allowed to show her personality - love this.
Eva doesn’t just bark at the rocks. She interrogates them, close up and personal.
One day she'll crack those rocks! :)
😂
She will take a prisoner if needed!
😂😂😂😂
"A small dog with the zoomies" - priceless and precious.
I loved the Replay. 🙂 (just like Wimbledon, but far better).
Best Advent Calendar day of all! Love to see Eva. My little Patterdale is no longer with us and I miss her terribly, so Eva really cheers me up. Thank you Mr Shrimp.

Definitely some Basenji in her mix, the energy and social bossery seems on point. She's a delight.
Mr. Shrimp, you've created something very special with this Advent calendar series.
Unexpected Eva Special
More Eva specials please!
Best door on the Advent calendar yet!!
I LOVE THIS THE MOST. Thank you. Eva barking at extremely random choice rock who thought it was just going to have a quiet afternoon is my next drawing challenge.

That rock was a Horta spy, Eva broke its cover and forced it to promise never too invade.
These Advent videos are a delight! Thank you.

Mine are the cheese shop, the Christmas tree, and this one for sure. Look at EVAAAA. She’s just the happiest girl!
@@kaythulucrewe Cheese shop was a good one too.
Mine are the Lego, the Cheese, the fireplace slow TV, the Xmas tree decoration, & this one
Eva is the best. Wreath making.
Best one so far❤🎉 Eva is adorable and fully justifies her own show 😊😊 thank you so much and Merry Christmas to the Shrimp household.
1:59 "A Pig Named Kevin" is, of course, the more warmhearted prequel to "A Fish Called Wanda"
I love dogs growling playfully. It's the cutest thing when they pretend to be all scary and intimidating but in a polite way
Loving Eva ...special little soul.
Your wheezing at Eva's zoomies is so wholesome and special

Omg, this has to be the cutest advent door so far! Just love Eva! This made me think of my coco who we sadly lost this year so thank you ❤️

I've watched the Wobble Dog videos countless times and laughed to tears on many of those occasions, but this might be my favorite Shrimp video ever 💖
I Love Eva what a special doggy 🐶🥰Thanks for sharing & Merry Christmas to you all 🎅🎄🐾

We love you Eva you happy little dog ❤️
