you all probably dont care but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me
@Howard Collin Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Besides the high-quality shots, I like the relationships between photographer and the client. The communication skills are very important and you Sir, showed how to do it. Thank you for this tutorial.
Simple, straightforward and effective. I also enjoyed your banter, with the subject. It's one of the most effective 'tools' a photographer uses, for portrait work.
I am speechless with not only the quality of the raw shot but your professionalism and way of communicating with the client. Amazing! Thank you for this video. Definitely helped me with some tips for todays corporate headshot session i am shooting.
These turned out so great! My Dad has been shooting corporate portraits since the 60's and I've been fortunate to see how he interacts with his clients besides just the technical side of portrait photography. Subscribed! Love this photographer's professionalism and great work!
Fantastic video!!! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment as every second was educational. I'm new at learning portraits and have to say this video is extremely helpful.
Professionalism is professionalism ,, see how professional you are ,,, communicating with model effectively and efficiently , being soo nice, kind and professional.... awesome session ,,i learned a lot from this..😍😍 Please bring more session like these ..
Beautiful !! . Do you mind sharing the power setting on the strobes and the aperture used? Also at what distance was the subject from the backdrop .Thanks much!
thank you for sharing a glimpse of your studio work. would you give me a rough idea on how you toned the images - i guess some kind of split toning but it also could be a clever white balance. have a great day!
I do tethering in this studio photo shoot using a 4k graphics card on my PC into a Samsung 4k monitor using Capture One. This greatly helps on the person who decides either they like it or not the photo of themselves and its been a great help and I've been using this method ever since. Using capture One you can do ahead of time, white balance and color correction with Passport Color Checker using a subject as a temporary model before doing the actual photo shoot of the clients themselves & thats is when your ten minutes starts. But then again it is never 10 minutes.
Best corporate "to do" video that I have seen yet. You did probably 20 poses and in 10 minutes and gave the client a variety of image that use. I do have a question to ask . . . the kicker or hair light you had; I was watching it and it look like there might been a honeycomb grid on you. Was that the case or just the angle in which the video was shot?
Mychael: Thanks so much for your comments, and encouragement. The hair light was an open 7" reflector with no grid. You're right, the angle of the video camera makes it look more "gridded".
Thank you for the info; this is one setup that I will incorporate in my setup as it is quick and very professional. Please keep the learning coming as I have learned more from just this video than I have with any other video for corporate portfolio.
@@impactstudiolighting3903 I noticed the kick light hair light was a lot more on his face when body was straight facing the camera, shoulld you have moved subject a bit closer to you so the hair light stays on the hair or kick light on the cheek under the glasses it's ok?
Interesting to watch someone else do something I done many times. Nice to see a different take. Appreciate the share. But one puzzling question... Why do you shoot FIVE frames that are all nearly identical. Why don't you verbally engage with him more to get less posed expressions?
I always ask permission to fix hair, on women and tell the men.... I usually have a blonde assistant, but budget cuts today you just get me. They laugh and say something like...dang it... they don't mind me fixing the tie, pulling the coat, sleeves, etc. I have fixed hair, coats, ties and shirts on 90% of my clients. A couple of Presidents, Gov's, Senators and Actors. Lots of realtors and lawyers. Never had a complaint.
Brandon, I guess you've never shot professional models, we have to step in an straighten their clothing all the time when the stylist is also your makeup artist and making up another model. I just make sure I don't touch them anywhere that's inappropriate. Models are used to having their clothing adjusted for photoshoots. Also, I touch my corporate clients, maybe it's because I'm a woman and I don't give them a creeper vibe is why no one has ever gotten weirded out by it, I also explain why I'm clipping their clothing etc.
Jamil Gotcher I agree. But I am a male and have done thousands of headshots over the past 36 years. I always ask my clients if I can touch them, before I do it, male or female. (Still not sure they don’t think I am a creeper, but’s that’s just me). Not inappropriately, but fix a hair on the shoulder or adjust the sleeves. If they move it messes up everything else. I will be doing 400+ between now and September. They must not be offended, yet.
Best head shot tutorial yet. Anyone can set up lights, not anyone can direct and encourage a non-professional subject. Thank you.

Such a delight - besides the great content - that you spared us annoying background-music. Just simple, pure, beautiful teaching! Thank you, Sir! 🙏
Probably the best tutorial I’ve seen on here - and I’ve seen a lot. So professional and efficient!

Beautiful! How do u position the flash so you don't get reflections in the eye glasses?
This is one of the best videos that I have ever seen. Straight to the point, excellent demonstration and easy to follow.
4.5yrs old and still relevant. set-up was thoughtful. but the posing and vibe on the set was very engaging. BIG thumbs up.

That test shot blew me away! I would have been very happy with that
Very informative about how to direct the subject. Excellent guide for those of us who may not be bubbly/extroverted photographers.

Fantastic informative video. You make it look so easy which is an art!
Wow! Thank you for sharing and best tutorial.
Love this. Thanks for the techniques. Your lighting is very straight forward and gives very nice results.
Excellent video. To make a long story short, as Joey Quintero always says, this video is very educative.
I love your voice! made the video very easy to listen to and learn. Thank you!
At around the 16:47 mark, what are you using that lets the camera trigger hang to the light stand?
The best tutorial! Thanks 👍
Fantastic video, I learned so much. Thank you!
Two thumbs up! Very professional and very helpful, thank you for sharing!
Excellent job, Joey. Beautiful high-quality shots and exceptional professionalism.
Thanks a lot for sharing, this has been very helpful. I was wondering ho the background is lit. Is it only the kicker light?
Very professional.
Really enjoyed this tutorial, nicely done.
very useful to see this. Good work with the model

Lol no answer
... but where we can see your work of that photo session? I'd like to see some compare of those
I really love this

Thank you very much - very helpful! I was surprised that the beauty dish is so far away.
Inverse square law - if you move light closer the background and shadows on the face become darker. ruclips.net/video/xO-J42VM448/видео.html

Brilliant, thank you for this video.

thank you for your time and effort! :) nice video
Excellent photography aside, this video taught me how to communicate with an executive during my very first corporate shoot.
Great video... very informative...! Thank you 👍🏼

@@ven1536 it looks like space (as well as time) was limited, so compromises may have needed to be made.
“ oh sir, I….. noticed you fly is down.,,,”😊
Nice video! However, do you usually take 40-50 photos per person per organization?
Obviously you're shooting tethered. What software are you using? The images are great straight out of the camera.
Battery power eliminates one possibility of a lawsuit, as well as being safer and more convenient.
Nice and easy explanation, great shots, simple setup! What lens?
this is so old school it hurts...
nice stuff. Can I ask what reflector holder you are using? (I'm finding the cheap eBay sourced holders are hopeless)
Thanks! Sorry we missed your comment - hope we aren't too late! Impact Multiboom Light Stand and Reflector Holder - 13' (4m) B&H # IMLSRH MFR # 3218
What was your setup and settings?
How did the grey background turn green in the image?
Interesting to watch someone else do something I done many times. Nice to see a different take. Appreciate the share. But one puzzling question... Why do you shoot FIVE frames that are all nearly identical. Why don't you verbally engage with him more to get less posed expressions?
Picture at 7.59 shows an authority figure and I love it 😍😍😍😍😍😍
how to make this dark green color tone?
Nice video. Thanks! I've seen a couple of other videos where photographers have subject lean into the shot. What's the purpose behind this?
To look thinner
the best class
Great video nice
were you shooting with a 50mm?
Do you have impact battery operated studio strobe with elinchrom mount?
Hi, Robert: No, we do not. The Impact Cruiser is a Bowens/S-Mount.
Amazing
Impressive
I love.
fantastic
*14 and a half minutes. 😉
Never touch your subject!
Please, I do it all the time. But I ask permission, most of the time....
Let me know how your lawsuit goes

I hope you are not using films, I think you did too much work
That took way too long
