The 90/90 is an awesome mobility position that you can do a tonne of great stretching and strengthening in!

Thanks for showing progressions for people like me who are basically starting at zero flexibility. It gets discouraging when I cant even do the "beginner" stuff some people show.
Absolutely! I was the exact same! Couldn’t even get into positions to get into the position 😂😂 can take some of us a lot longer than others to improve! Keep at it!!

Yes you want to be doing little things throughout the day really! This isn’t “exercise” it’s just moving and needs done more and more! Especially with the habits that many of us have these days with desk jobs etc

Thank you Tom for responding to my question in the Short vid about hip mobility assessment, that was very kind of you. I have been searching on your channel about possible ways to approach healing my hip(s), at minimum. I am looking forward to the day when my leg doesn't feel like it's coming out of the socket, followed by the hot searing nerve pain. I just saw on the sidebar that you have a full body daily flow, I will have to take a look at that and the "Glute Med Pain? Achy Back on One Side Here's what to do..." video. I have not sat in that position in so many years I forgot. I had no trouble sitting straight up on one side, but when I did the other, I needed help with my arm it was so difficult and I could feel the pull in my left hip. Thank you so much all of your exercises. I’ve been extremely helpful. I am slowly loosening up. I feel like the tin man after he has been oiled.❤

This is brilliant! I cant get anywhere near this position on the floor yet...the beginner bit on the sofa looks like it could be doable though..looking forward to trying to work on it now...i am one with hips like concrete! Something i really want to change!

We have a follow alongs playlist here on RUclips you can grab stuff from! Our main routine is the SMM programme, it’s the most essential stuff in the order it needs to be in and what you want to focus on perfecting 😄

Is it safe to do if I have Osteopenia?
What if you had knee replacement surgery?
Whenever I do a deep squat I get a popping noise in my right hip (not painful) when I raise up and my hips come forward. Would this be a mobility or strength issue? Thanks for the videos, Tom!

Hey Tom👋 I had to stop doing the 90/90 stretch. I can do it quite well and have been doing it for months but the next morning/day my knees KILL me. I narrowed it down to this stretch as the culprit. I was kinda crushed by a car and my left hip may not be perfect even though I can perform the 90/90 well the next day I pay for it. Should I soldier through or stick to hip airplanes and hip circles? Thank you😁
Try our delicate knees follow along for a while!
One knee is more than happy, the other can’t bend it past 45 degrees. 😩 Joys of wear and tear in the knee. 🤦🏼♀️😃
Can you do this with herniated discs and sciatica I want to try but don't want to hurt myself
It may feel uncomfortable at first but if you stick with it it will, you want to be working at your hips daily if you have disc herniations really! Would be good to check out our blogs at tommorrison.uk

I love it but both hips have been replaced. Right hip was infected . 7 surgeries on right hip. I am a little reluctant to try . Would I pop hip
Would be best to ask your physio in person, we have a lot of THR people using SMM but if you’re unsure then always best to get in person guidance 😄
I do this with a thong in my front drive rain or shine, the neighbours always are interested, i think they are impressed

Should bilateral TKR hinder my ability to rotate my knees? Do i accept that they are frozen in range?
Knee replacements are super tricky as they’ll not have a full range and you can’t push them the same as a hip unfortunately, this may be helpful to you tho!

Make sure to have a good physiotherapist in person to help you out with exercises to use!
@TomMorrison you rock btw ! Thank you for such a quick reply. Yeah i thought as much....good news is i have a great pain clinic and physio. Knees actually 6yrs old and least of issues (got them att 44yo). My lumbar is completely mirror of yours give or take a disc or nerve compression. But now my entire multifidus is gristle. Got nothing. Now have a Mainstay Reactiv8 implant and a really long journey. But i box like a mongrel! Hurtful, not harmful! Thanks again Tom

I can get into the seated position just fine, but when I try to lift the active leg off the floor, I get immense pain on the outer edge of the hip. I don't know how to work on this.
Lean away from your leg before you lift it at first, so.your torso is almost on the floor! This will.make it more doable to practice & build strength 😁💪
My brother has one painful knee he uses his pant leg to position it..maybe even lifting with a towel. He's getting better.
It's weird sometimes to see people these days wearing t-shirts with the covers of comic books I rode my bike across town in the Summer heat to buy off the rack when I was a kid
