Well I have the original ps1 games but not Reignited, I’ve flown in the speedways many times and I just never lost pleasure, and I always just wished it was infinite.
I wish this was actually an in game unlock-able cheat.
This beats the double jump glitch.
They better not patch it either.
They will patch it out; they did it with the two Ripto's glitch.

This glitch only makes me wish that Toys for Bob natively added a "free flight" mode for who 100% all three games.
Yeah, I'm aware that would "break the magic" and make people see stuff they aren't supposed to, but still... in the end, after you're done, who cares: you just want to mess around.
UPDATE: I tried to obtain this glitch, and I came to the conclusion that, for me, it's simply impossible. The reason is that, apparently, the level doesn't appear to load fast enough and, by the time the cutscene ends, I can't even select "Retry" because it starts loading faster than the appearance of the cursor, leaving me stuck in a "The Adventure Continues..." screen with the "X Select" prompt at the bottom.
Sooo yah, enjoy it for me too, peeps. 'cuz I can't.

If you're using a normal ps4 or xbox one (i.e not a ps4 slim, ps4 pro or xbox one S) then that may be why because they load things a bit slower than the "higher grade" versions.

Look at what Canadian Guy Eh said himself: "Whenever I tried going to Winter Tundra, it soft-locked my game... so instead, I tried Autumn Plains"
It's a bunch of intelligent brains trying to find loopholes in the system. When they realise something breaks their game or that a certain outcome derives from their previous attempts, they just try another method.
Apparently, it's something us humans are pretty good at if we work together.
Usually this stuff crops up by accident, say you do something you never meant to in a game and an outcome you were not expecting happens. But it's those 'accidents' that people try to replicate and record.
If you tried finding this out yourself, it would take faaaar longer (odds are someone might of even done it themselves, but my point still stands).
Luckily, we have the internet now to speed up the process and share ideas, outcomes and possibilities.
That's an Amazing Glitch! Now we can find things that weren't previously known about.
No one is gonna see this but the easiest way to get past the first step (Ripto method) is instead of backing up and moving forward, just go between the two paintings and then jump-dash. The large jump will make it so that as you frantically mash the pause and unpause button, you'll be able to catch it right at the correct frame more easily, because you're only needing to focus on pausing and unpausing fast enough, not having to worry about moving forward at the exact right spot, the momentum will get you to the first frame by itself. Just need to pause fast enough.
I've been able to get to that step and the second step (the hardest one which is getting into the speedway portal blind) pretty easily after days of practice on and off the past few years, but the barrier I have is that my game does not load fast enough at all to be able to die-and-retry in the speedway before the cutscene ends, that being the third step. My game can never finish loading into the speedway before the cutscene is over so I can only manage to softlock my game on the "The Adventure Continues" page.

Did the glitch myself on PS4, so I have no clue how accurate any of this is for other versions. This glitch also gave me infinite supercharge, unsurprisingly. I personally found the timing easily for this glitch. Sparx is invisible and there is a timer in the corner, since the game thinks you are in the speedway. But you don't die in one hit, sparx is still there, just invisible. You can still kill fodder and he will eat butterflies, you just can't see him. If you have the PS4 version, you can tell his color with the remote. Here are my other findings:
Taking damage: no effect
Whirlwinds: made me lose my superflight and supercharge. I just glided, back to normal. Leaving the level or dying fixes it.
Going through level portals: actually FIXED my lost superflight from using a whirlwind. Did not lose my abilities at all.
Entering a mini-cutscene: like any character talks to you, anything pauses gameplay to show you anything (like buttons for water in aquaria towers, freeing satyrs in fracture hills, etc...) Makes you lose superfly until you leave the level or die
Spring powerup: lost superflight but not supercharge. Leaving the level fixed it, and so did dying.
Superflame powerup: no effect
Superflight powerup: once it wears off, you lose your infinite superflight until you leave the level or die
Supercharge powerup: no effect
Superflight/flame powerup (metropolis): same as with superflight portal, once it wears off, you lose infinite superflight until you leave the level or die
Dying: nothing. Resets superflight in a level if you lost it, same as leaving and re-entering the level would reset jt
Minigame portals (spyro 3): you lose your superflight and supercharge until you leave the level. Not just minigame, the entire level.
Different character and back (spyro 3, like shelia or agent 9): spyro does a HORRIBLE tornado glitch spin in the mini-cutscene when it switches to the different character. Leaving the level and switching back to spyro, you get superflight ans charge back.
Enter than leaving a speedway: in spyro 3 (the one I tested speedway in) he does same horrible tornado spin as switch characters, when he sits there to talk to sparx. I think it happens because he is trying to fly with superflight, but has nowhere to go, instead of standing there in idle like he is meant to. Leaving the speedway softlocks you, with canyon speedway enemies visible but no map and nothing you can do.
Closing the game: as expected, closing and re-opening the game resets it and you lose it permanently.

Well Dawn Of The Dragon did it first. But that was a reboot. Plus the Speedways gave you the infinite flight already so that doesn’t count.

Imo almost any spyro game is better than that game. The legend series was certainly a bold experiment and one I enjoyed. But dawn of dragons took almost everything I liked about the first two and threw it away. Almost.
Here I was hoping you uncovered a new cheat code. This is too complex for me.
This is the modern cheat code. Ever since the ended the cheat code era, this is what we do now.
I love these kinds of glitches - especially the ones with multiple steps. It feels like you're finding a hidden secret and stepping outside the bounds of what you're supposed to be doing.

huge Tip: make sure you have canyon speed way done before doing this glitch or it will count down and you will run out of time.. and no you can't use this glitch to cheat at the trolly challenge as it will not let you pick up the gears without being on the trolly
When I was young playing spyro, I thought I would get unlimited flight after 100% completing the game. I was disappointed at every spyro game.
Too bad they couldn't just make a infinite fly cheat for the game

@@Tyrik73 I know, but I don't count that as that was a spin off/reboot series.
What I find helps:
Spam up and start when entering Riptos Arena. Its a little tedius but if you spam fast enough you're guranteed to hit the pause button as the cutscene is loading. You'll know you've got it when you hit pause and the option to exit level appears.
My second tip, once the cutscene loads, after about 10 seconds, you should hear the Winter Tundra hub music as well as the cutscene. When you press up and enter the portal, you should hear whistling wind, like when entering a level etc. Use the music as a guide.
Also, unlike in BetaMs and CGEd video, you don't need to skip the cutscene. At least I didn't need to. You can just hit retry when the cutscene ends.
ALSO ALSO VERY IMPORTANT! Don't exit the level, use the atlas to warp to another level or press quit game to try the glitch on Spyro 1 or 3 (the glitch continues until you close spyro/power off your console). Quitting will softlock the game xD
There is a part in the Artisans Homeworld where you can clip through the wall, fall down and basically fall out the skybox. I'm just trying this flying glitch around there because when you fall out low enough, it reveals the other worlds :D

Already been exploring Spyro 1 and 2 with this. The lamp thieves in Shady Oasis are hidden below the map for example.

EDIT: Going into other character levels won't crash the game? (maybe some do, who knows) I did a Sheila mission while the glitch was active.
My strategy is to center the camera as soon as i hear spyro land and start walking backwards into the portal.
Infinite flight should be a cheat code like the Infinite super flame 😁

That's what I was going to say! That should be how it is: Since you wouldn't be cheating if you've already completed them, it would just be something to have more fun with!

maybe to prevent glitches or crashing the game. this happened to me in Fe, you get there for 100% infinite flight and now you can reach places where u aren´t supposed to be and game could glitch or crash
More glitches? Like there werent enough! One of the worst glitches actually helped me out big time, the slowmotion glitch in the skateboard race minigames (lost fleet, super bonus round).
For years I' Hoped Spyro keeps His Infinite Flight Ability and. Now he has it AWESOME though wish the glitch was a New Cheat Code then it easier

Ok I finally made it!!!! If thats can help if u are in my case and u dont have enough time to made it cause ur ps4 is too slow there is some trik, first turn off the music and voices ,make sure your dragon fly is dead then when u fell a very soft vibration on ur controller its means spyro just landed and ready to pass the portal then instead of press square to dive in the lava then press X XXX to retry just press start then smash X its way faster u get extra sec to done it before the end of the cinematic. Hipe that help :)
I would really like this as an unlockable option for when you defeat the boss of each game, or perhaps when you complete each game to their absolute.

Did anyone else have problems when they got the glitch right? First time my cutscene cut itself short, showed me the enter cayon speed way, then locked me on a blank screen lol
I did this fairly easily, multiple times. But mine keeps softlocking on "the adventure continues" when I go to leave ripto's

Took me 1 hour worth of tries. You can just put your PS4 in sleep mode after you do this and keep the game app open, then you won't lose the glitch!
Definitely worth the time it takes.

They honestly need to release an update where they add an infinite flying powerup to use for getting 100% in all 3 games. I hope they do it when the Switch and PC versions release.

I'm playing on the Switch version and I'm trying to do the Gulp method, but the loading screens take way too long :( I don't want to pirate the game and use an emulator (and also end up getting a virus) and I don't have money for the PC version.. Is there a way to pull this off? Does the Ripto method work?

Infinite flight should be implemented in the next game. Dunno how they'd do it without breaking the game though...
It doesn't work, when im hitting "blindly" retry in Canyon Speedway it just soft lock on "The adventure continues...". Is there any other way for the glitch?

I’m so annoyed, I successfully pulled this off three times but my game keeps soft locking after I fast travel out of the arena, no matter where I go to :/ I’m on a PS4 Pro and I think that impacts how easy this is to pull off properly due to different load times.
I can't react fast enough to do that. Though I honestly thought you would unlock spyro swimming and flying capabilities after completing the games, but I was horrendously wrong.
The glitch has now made me have 121% on Artisans. If you don't complete the course first you get a countdown timer. I was in the Artisan's World on Spyro 1 and decided to find out what Retry would do. It threw me into a black void with the skyboxes around you and the targets you need to hit. I got 80 gems and now my total count says 180/100 ....

I wish you could do this in the original versions because I have no idea how to get at some treasure stuck on the castle roof by the cannon that launches you to the end of the level in Fireworks Factory... any ideas anyone?
You have more glitches available on the original so utilize them if you want the gratification that way. Otherwise look up how to get it.

I prefer not to go through it, after experiencing a few crashes on the original Spyro 2 while going nuts with the swim-everywhere glitch in all 3 levels that had it (Sunny Beach, Breeze Harbor and Mystic Marsh), I prefer to stay away from exploitable glitches.
What about the appearance "cheat" codes? (I put quotes because I don't consider them cheats)
The sunglasses and the squid-board were awesome enough, and we could really use a code to replay the Spyro 3 cutscenes, like we had in the original once the 4th Sparx level is finished.
My load times are really long and i cannot make it to the retry button before the cutscene ends. I have a base PS4.
Danny Lil Sawtrap: I have literally been waiting for Spyro to learn to actually fly since the game came out. I figured by the end of Spyro 3(2000) he would've grown up and you would get unlimited flying at the end of super bonus round. However with the ceiling being so weird in some of the levels it's bitter sweet 🤡💖⚙️

Alright, so I was able to get it to work. You have to keep retrying. The time it worked I had subtitles come up on the screen for some reason as well.

Once I enter into Canyon Speedway it cuts to Spyro standing in the loading screen and soft locks my game. Happened 3 times. Sucks for me ;~;
When I tried this Canyon Speedway didnt finish loading within the time of the cinematic... when it ended it just spat me in canyon speedway and soft-locked
Canadian Guy treats the glitch like it's a very scary and temperamental thing that can crash at any moment, but let me assure you guys, I've done a bunch of extensive research for BetaM particularly in spyro 3 and haven't had the game crash or softlock a single time without me going out of the way to do something insanely weird. The glitch is surprisingly resilient, so don't be afraid to go wherever you want!
Hey man sweet video. I don't think it works anymore though. I have no problems until dying in the lava. The retry screen now forces over the cutscene and locks the game if you hit retry.
Being able to fly means i can explore enchanted towers like you can with sgt byrd but as spyro anyone tried that?

The glitch does still seem to work. If you're on ps5(faster loading times I presume) do not spam x to retry on the speedway canyon part. Only retry as soon as you see the cutscene about to end and it should work
For me it’s the opposite, I’m on Xbox one so when I exit level the loading screen does not load fast enough
I tried this and it worked! The only issue is instead of my timer counting up it counts down from 30 seconds. After that I can either wait forever by hitting quit to reload the level, or hit retry and be transported to a glitched out empty world. Does anyone else have this problem of the timer counting down to zero from 30? What did I do to cause this?

Okay, so i would like to make this post as i don't see anyone bring it up. He's saying hold down the square button, not hold down on the analogue stick and the square button. As every time i hear him say "hold down square" it sounds like he's saying "Hold, Down, Sqaure" making it sound like you need to put in two button inputs.
Honestly tho I almost ALWAYS mess up on the 2nd part. No idea what om doing wrong I just always seem to hit the wall or water. I've only done the cheat successfully 3x

The part that throws me off is when you say mash X.
Are we supposed to keep mashing X After Spyro dies, while holding down square Until or before the ripto cinema ends?
And then press X again right before the clip ends

I’ve tried to do this a couple times and I seem to be getting soft locked no matter which level I choose to teleport to. Yes I am definitely pressing the pause button first not the straight to guidebook home button. Does anyone know if T4B patched this or am I doing something wrong?
It’s not patched. I’m doing it right now and it works just like the video describes, but I’m having this same issue as you. I believe hardware limits might be the issue here. What are you playing the game on?
So i guess I was the first to run into this glitch should have filmed it but I can't find it online anywhere, after scorches pit arena, My spyros fire REMAINED IN GREEN TORPEDO MODE and I was able to use it to shoot an egg out of the theifs hand on midnight mountain, Not sure what I did that caused it but i know I was messing with the sound when I came out of the arena switching from Original to reignited till i noticed the same torpedo fire power I had in the arena was back!
enter the dragonfly had a fly forever cheat coded but then disabled i did a full series of it

Yes yes, Spyro can be taught to fly now, but where did he get those cool shades?
It never made sense for me that the dragon couldnt fly as a kid. So I figured out in spyro if u spam flying against a wall u keep going up and then u could glide down. Dont remember it exactly but thats how I did it I think. I was like 10 and now I am 33. Nostalgia trip.
I got this to work before but now when I hit retry in the canyon speedway, the cutscenes with ripto just continues and I hear canyon speedway start again, so I kill myself again and it just repeats that cycle until the ripto cutscene is over, leading to a soft lock afterwards that says "the adventure continues".
I'm pretty sure they didn't patch this so I don't know what's up.
