hey josh your rear axle is in the wrong way, if you put it through from the left side your snail cam adjusters will be pointing up and won't get knocked loose.
Audio issue happened to me on my Simpson trip too. It’s actually been a good thing, forces you into expanding editing skills etc. that’s what I found anyway. Cheers
mate absolutely loving your channel, I currently have a Africa twin but after having it for a while I m thinking of downsizing and going the Drz 400. I live in Brissy and am just looking ti have a lot more day and over night adventures with matbeabig ine once a year. Keep it up and great to see you loving the old technology.
Darn good edit Josh 😁 even with the audio stuff up 😎 , was great to watch and your telling of the ride was quite interesting 🤔 seems you a a natural story teller mate 👍 keep well Sir and ride safe-ish 😉🍺
Awesome video mate been waiting to watch your version seen the other boys videos but always enjoy your videos. Hopefully heading down at Xmas time to do most of your route and can’t wait 🇦🇺👍💪
Na mate haunted stream track is one of the most popular, almost as much as blue rag and golly goats. So glad you were able to get a video up, and not there’s three ways this story was told and it’s fantastic. But this is the high country. It’s not like the north coast where you go up a 100mt hill and down again. There’s climbs here km’s long and the same going down. Many try and too too much too fast and thier bodies fail them. Thanks for sharing man and epic trip
amazing watch as always josh 🤘 i think every adventure ride should come with a 'lance', that guy picks up your spirits as well as your bike! watta unit 😉
your airbox has a one way duck bill valve on the bottom to let dirt and liquid out, if it has some junk stuck in it it won't stop water coming in. and the side cover on the airbox isn't 100% waterproof either, it will stop water coming in during a crossing but if you stop water will slowly find it's way in given enough time. another reason for the water if your top vent hoses are pinched or ran into the airbox it can pick up water from the bottom vent hoses.
Thanks mate Water wasn’t high enough to get into the air box. I have re routed the Carby hoses so I am thinking that the water crept up the two hoses that remain pointing downward while I sat stationary for a bit
Check out the breather tube routing from your carburettor, this is often how water makes it into the carb or the bike cuts out in a water crossing. There should be plenty of info online.
I’ve had it done for ages mate. I did a video on it myself 😂 Bike would of cut off much earlier from that. Having the bike turned off for a minute or so I think water may have crept up the two hoses that remain pointing down or came through the fuel filter somehow.
Josh, a genuine shame about the audio issues but I have to say you’ve done an excellent job recovering the story telling aspect of the footage. From the viewers perspective it looks and sounds perfect so don’t beat yourself up too much over it. 👍👍
Great video Josh, you and Lance have inspired me so after 30 years off the bikes I have bought my own drz and myself and 3 mates are off to the Cape in July. Next question is what's the link I need to buy your gpx files please
That would’ve been heartbreaking realising the audio failed however you made a great video and voice over to make it entertaining and still showing us the adventure 👍🏻
Got my DrZ a month ago. Absolutely loving your videos. You’ve probably been asked 1 million times but are you running the stock ratios or have you changed sprockets? GC to Inskip is a long way on a bike.
Thanks mate It’s not normally an issue. 2 batteries a day is usually all I need but I have about 3 in my kit that are damaged and weren’t holding charge on this trip.
having a battery bank allows you to leave the camera on, so you don't have the 3-5 second delay when you hit record. I run a 20000mah battery, it never runs out, and can even change headsets during the lunch break. try it, you will never go back to swapping batteries
Great narration, the vid was plenty enjoyable 👍

You did well on those adventure tyres. I took my Dual V and Rallz off. D606 rear has 10 extra rows of knobs and heaps better off road I’ve found.
Sucks about the audio issues, but you still managed to put together a great video. Thanks from the States.
Thanks 😃
Even with the audio issues you knocked out another great video! Awesome scenery, riding, storytelling and footage. Enjoyed every minute of it 👍
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Ripper episode, Josh!
You did an awesome job of salvaging the footage, thoroughly enjoyed it man!
Thanks man 🤙🏼

Thanks 🙏
I’m glad you dodged the 4WD Josh! Great trip fella.
@@roey790 me too! Thanks mate
Loved the way you did this , awsome video. If you kept all your videos like this is would be so cool. It's a nice story . Very good
Very well done Josh (and Lance). Great series demonstrating how good it is to have a riding mate join you on such ventures.
really enjoying the mix between voice over and actual audio, great vid!
Thanks mate 👍🏼

It was a great track.
Yea the climbs are insane, I was definitely out of my comfort zone on a few!
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
You did well narrating that one man! Something different, i liked it.
Cheers
Lukey
Thanks dude 🤙🏼
Awesome first episode mate! Shame about the farkwit not stopping and checking you were all good..
Thanks 😁
amazing watch as always josh 🤘 i think every adventure ride should come with a 'lance', that guy picks up your spirits as well as your bike! watta unit 😉
Haha he’s a good riding buddy that’s for sure
Gr8 editing Josh. The drone must be a lot of work but well worth it Will definitively be adding the Haunted Stream track to the bucket list,
Thanks 😁
It can be a pain to setup sometimes when all you want to do is ride 😂
It’s a great track, enjoy!
Nice! A voiceover is the way to go! Great solution ,great video and great bikes!
Thanks mate

Great adventure
Great video. That's happened to me. Not eating enough and dehydration. Then shit happens. Fair play to you.
Thanks 😁
Yea it’s not ideal, hopefully I don’t let it happen again
Love the voice over, great vid
Mate the video turned out just fine. Great drone footage as well.
How good is the Haunted Stream Track? Epic stuff.
Thanks dude. It was one of the best we did I reckon
Well worth the wait. Good to see your pov . Keen for the rest of the adventure
Thanks mate 👍🏼
Great work Josh, looks like awesome riding. Well done.
Thanks mate. It was some tough going but good to get it done.
I forgot about the audio shortly in mate. Great episode in my opinion.
Thanks for watching 😁
Nice riding mate.
How do you reckon you would have gone on the tenere on this?
Id still be there 😂

Cheers mate
I’m happy with how it came out. Just took a bit longer than usual.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Top work Josh. Losing audio sucks the big one, but you've put together a top video regardless.
Thanks mate 😁
Where did you turn off on the Barry way? I couldn’t find anything decent to turn off onto until down near MacKillops bridge.
GPX file is available if you’d like mate. Link is in the description. There’s a few other tracks around that area though.
That would’ve been heartbreaking realising the audio failed however you made a great video and voice over to make it entertaining and still showing us the adventure 👍🏻
Thanks mate
Yea i wasn’t happy. But pretty happy with how this episode ended up 👍🏼
Thanks for watching
Lance wanted to take the dip....
Good music choice mate.
Thanks 👍🏼
Do you have the suzuki rad brace guards?
Any issues fitting the safari tank?
Sure do mate
Nah no issues. Just needed a little bit of foam at the bottom half of the radiator guards to prevent rubbing on the tank.
Got my DrZ a month ago. Absolutely loving your videos.
You’ve probably been asked 1 million times but are you running the stock ratios or have you changed sprockets?
GC to Inskip is a long way on a bike.
I’m running a 15-44 setup. It wasn’t good for this trip on the steep climbs but it’s great everywhere else.
@@_JoshJB_ Awesome. Cheers. 👍🏻
love the vids what sort of GPS and apps are you using? they look good
I use a Garmin zumo XT 👍🏼
Mate bummer about the audio, but I thought the video was great. Really enjoyed the format
thanks 😁
What month was this?
March
there's a usb-c port on the side of the mic adaptor, that you can plumb in a battery pack which will stop you having to change the battery
Thanks mate
