My science teacher said "You should be a surgeon or vet" and I always wanted to work with animals and have over 5 dogs/cats and this channel is inspiring me to become a Vet.
You know, it takes a certain kind of person that goes to a video titled *graphic* and then after multiple warnings in the video saying that the video will be graphic, goes and REPORTS THE VIDEO!!!!
There's a special place in heaven for Dr. Matt and all the folks at Vet Ranch. That was an incredible surgery. Vet Ranch needs a water feature, even if it's just a wading pool with the hose. The dogs would love it.
The way that dog backed away from you at the beginning of the video compared to the way he jumped all over you at the end was beautiful. What you do for these animals heals their hearts ❤️
When you see the dogs come in first they are shivery and scared. Once he shows us 2 or 3 weeks after their tails are wagging and the look so much happier. Dogs are so intelligent. Truly mans best friend.
Yea I had a dog that was not by a car and I brang it to the vets to get healed then I got it and it was kinda scared of us but then after a week she started wagging her tail:3 😄

I my self had my dog ran over by a truck. i cloud not afford the operation but a friend of mine help my dog so he cloud live another day. to this day i still can repay my friend ;)

Wolf type dogs (such as Huskies) DO have wild instincts because they're as close to wolves as any domesticated dog CAN get. Many wolf type dogs turn on their owners if they're treated badly. And then they eat them. Trust me, I've owned four strays (not counting a turtle) and each one was left to die alone on the streets. Dogs my seek human affection, but they do have wild instincts. Such as the pack instinct, or the danger instinct that pretty much all mammals have. This also includes hunting; which is how wolves survive. Dogs also know to scavenge UNLIKE wolves, who are fresh meat predators. This provides even more food for them, but some of it is bad and many die of disease because dogs are ridden with disorders and have terrible immune systems.
Some manage to get away and end up as strays. But true, sadly our city has a chronic problem and most of these dogs don't make it. Folks like Dr Matt are working hard to change that.

I really love what you do! I want to do some thing in the animal field as like a volunteer. I don't necessarily want to be a veterinarian but I want to find the animals and give them another chance at life. Keep up the amazing work!!!!!!

Workers who work at kill-shelters have suicide rates similar to police officers and firefighters. They aren’t “kill-happy”, and many people there who carry the euthanasia’s out are incredibly depressed. They love animals, too. Many are government funded and likewise have limited budget and space to care for all the animals. That’s why many times they turn animals over to rescue organizations like this. If the kill-shelters had more support as well as more people like Vet Ranch stepping in to care for the seriously injured and sick rescues, they wouldn’t have to euthanize so many.

I don't think he would because a TV show is more about advertising and playing the Hollywood Game. Dr Matt makes videos on his own terms and it's all real 100%. Hollywood would create problems and issues and I don't think that it would have the same integrity and incredible passion and love that it has now.

Dude I know!! I had to get surgery on my back (scoliosis) and I had a tumor in my lower back and I got a drainage tube removed and it didn’t hurt one bit, but it did feel fucking weird

They would keep them if they could, there are SO many stray dogs and new ones come in every single day. That's why it's so important to neuter or spay a pet because they don't need to reproduce!

Dr. Matt, I once rescued a dog who had the same “cut” either from a dog fight or person. I used literally a “spray” can that was given by a vet store. The wound closed. Have you ever done this type of procedure? Greetings from Mexico!
It never ceases to amaze me how these dogs in as much pain and how scared they must be, they are always wagging their tails. That's why I love my pets so much. I prefer their company to a lot of humans. It makes my heart smile to see how many pets you rescue and save! Thank you!

This is the first vet ranch video I watch and I got so happy
It's terrible how so many people are so kill-happy with animals when so much of the time they can be saved with good vet care.
Elva Light Vet care for every dog is time consuming, and animal shelters don't have room for most animals, so euthanasia is the only option, well the only fast option.
If you want to give the shelter millions of dollars and adopt a couple of hundred animals personally every year, I am sure they will be delighted.
Workers who work at kill-shelters have suicide rates similar to police officers and firefighters. They aren’t “kill-happy”, and many people there who carry the euthanasia’s out are incredibly depressed. They love animals, too. Many are government funded and likewise have limited budget and space to care for all the animals. That’s why many times they turn animals over to rescue organizations like this. If the kill-shelters had more support as well as more people like Vet Ranch stepping in to care for the seriously injured and sick rescues, they wouldn’t have to euthanize so many.
How about taking care your pets so it didnt have to end up being euthanised.

It really saddens me that most " pounds " would rather just kill the animal then attempt to save it.
They would keep them if they could, there are SO many stray dogs and new ones come in every single day. That's why it's so important to neuter or spay a pet because they don't need to reproduce!

Dr. Matt, I once rescued a dog who had the same “cut” either from a dog fight or person. I used literally a “spray” can that was given by a vet store. The wound closed. Have you ever done this type of procedure? Greetings from Mexico!
It never ceases to amaze me how these dogs in as much pain and how scared they must be, they are always wagging their tails. That's why I love my pets so much. I prefer their company to a lot of humans. It makes my heart smile to see how many pets you rescue and save! Thank you!
