I relate to this a lot. I am in an interracial marriage myself. My husband is Asian and he is from Taiwan. We met in University in 2015. We get stares a lot when we are out in public but we honestly love how people love our kids.
Oh that's great! Do people ever say racial stereotypes to your husband or it's just stares? I'm in a relationship with a Korean man (we live in Korea) & I kinda worry about how some black people will (mis)treat him or do the eyes things. Idk.. just thoughts that cross my mind.
@@92Kandee Black people do say and do a lot of racial stereotypes and we honestly find that really annoying. We usually ignore them but they do not sit well with us at all.

I must say Nthabiseng is indeed matured for her age. I love how she speaks about their marriage and how they built everything together. She is also good at speaking into her husband’s masculinity. I'm White married to an Indian woman. She's Hindu, I'm Roman Catholic. We celebrate what's important to us and our children join in if they want to. No biggy. Never shoving our cultures, race or religion down their throats. We're focussing on bringing up well adjusted individuals. Its working great because we're married for 21 years and our children have the most amazing assortment of friends.

Samantha, l am with you. She was actually the rotten part of the whole video. Interviewer , you chock! Downright offal and uncouth. Everyone travels their own route and turn own corners. Don't try to rub in your encounters into being those of everyone else you meet walking the same direction you did. She is cute and cool. You probably lost it from such challenges you visibly carry.
In white, indian & coloured circles, dating black is seen as a downgrade. My question is, why do we as black people admire other races so much???

When she mentions the stares, it reminds me of the the flight I took last week where there was a a couple (old white man and a young black woman) who were lovey dovey. On their right, there was a white woman who kept starring in disgust at the lovely couple and she almost looked uncomfortable. It was a weird thing to witness.

I wrote something similar, my post was deleted. Large age gaps have a 10% success rate for a reason. The first two decades are great, but eventually the age thing becomes problematic.

@@Mabsknows True, there’s no way she was matured at that age. She said it herself, she was a rebel. That doesn’t mean she wasn’t a child. The adult brain is fully developed by age 25, so her reasoning, rational and understanding capacity wasn’t fully developed.

True, I have picked that and where Nthabiseng commented about her ring that laugh it was fake, but she is a best interviewer I just thinking this one she was not comfortable
As an interviewer she had to ask questions that people were too afraid to ask. I don't think that was negative at all because typically these are the things people want to know and as negative as they are it doesn't mean that Relebogile is negative she was just doing her best.
So much emphasis on the age issue but honestly I get it, 18 and 39 is just extreme. Weight doesn’t age your mind and behavior.

You are right. Especially from the interviewer. Did he'll lot of bidding to bring it as an issue on the table. Just glad that both sort of brushed her drive away, telling her on several times that they were and had never been interested about that

As a Malome he was supposed to support you because your blood ties should supercede your decisions. Marriage is marriage, regardless of who you marry. I'm with a half - Congolese guy but anybody who does not support us should forget about having access to us and my daughter.

I think it'd be cool if Relebogile could get Siya Kolisi & his wife on the show for an episode, to hear their experiences as an IR.
I've realized black women will stare in "admiration" at fellow black women dating white men but are quick to judge & get mad at black men like Siya, when they marry white women.
I've seen it esp happen on the American socials & a little in SA.. Just an interesting observation...
Or any BMWW couple, for that matter...
I think that it's colorist black men who say that "white women are better than black women" or that "white women are more beautiful" who ruin it for some BMWW relationships. However, it is sad that we base the terrible ideologies that some men have on on the entire dynamic.
And in America it's even more so because colorism a lot worse there.

We should not watch black American TV, it's toxic to global black relations. I think Rachel Kolisi is cool, at least that's how she comes across.

Beautiful love story! It works because you share the same values, especially when it comes to money and prosperity! I wish you both a long and healthy life. The values which our parents instill in us as kids go a long way in determining our success or failures when we are adults. I once had a partner who wasted food and only wore designer clothes because other clothes were not good enough for her. It was not her fault but the way her parents had raised her. Needless to say that we did not prosper and the relationship fell apart because of all the arguments about wasted, money and the lack of putting a value on anything.
