Your statement : "Who are the goodies and the baddies in Myanmar is a complex question " is just hiding ignorance in the subject. You should rather dig into the issue of who the criminal Burma junta accomplices DKBA and Burma junta friends BGF are.
Whilst the BGF continue to get their funding by involvement in criminal enterprises, the question of ‘goodies and baddies’ remains entirely relevant. I wouldn’t suggest you bother testing my bonefides on these issues.
It's because of the junta being certain "baddies" and those fighting them not exactly qualifying as "goodies" that many countries who wish to either support or assist those fighting the junta will not do so.

He was only 37. If you've ever been to one of these full moon parties, you'd understand how easily it could happen. The place is overflowing with a lot of drugs and alcohol, with limited supervision by authorities.
In the early 90s the full moon party was a legitimate rave with DJs from Europe, then the frat boy types and British chavs showed up, scared the ravers away, and it's been a nightmare ever since. That Danny Boyle movie The Beach only made things worse, I'm sure.
Nice username. Agree, my experience of the full moon party in the early 2000's was drunks reeling around the place 'unsupervised', but undercover cops would roam busting peeps having a joint supervising us very closely.
Interesting that Russian a tourist would own a car in Thailand. Sure he isn't an "expat" or (horrors!) an "immigrant" instead? 😂 If he were an actual tourist, the car would have been a rental and I don't think rental car companies would appreciate scotch tape all over the car...
@andrewrobinson2565 Which means he's not a tourist. Unless he's overstaying his tourist visa and doing other stuff that he's technically not allowed to do such as work.
How alarming to have the news of scam gangs enter my awareness. It certainly sounds like hell on earth for those trapped. What on earth is going on with humanity to forge such an operation. Simply not in my psyche where there is plenty already to climb up and out of without more darkness to transcend
I must admit, that movie was pretty good (though it's not among my favorite Thai movies). It was a smash hit down here - Thai movies often appear in cinemas, but they usually don't take up several halls simultaneously at the local cineplex for entire weeks. Part of it was that it had to do with Chinese traditions (the family in the movie were Thai Chinese) and there's a large Chinese population here that has an interest in such stories.
I agree, it's a great movie. I usually just zone out here watching Thai movies with my wife and children because they're all usually the same riding horror that seem like comedies or love stories.
@glen7849 I must admit, I'm not much into horror movies, but that Krasue movie was quite good. So was Premika (oke.. 😂). Tid Noi turned into a horror movie in the end - I found out much later that that part was sort of a rip-off of Pee Mak, and the movie itself was a re-telling of Cyrano de Bergerac.. 😁 They re-made Pee Mak in Indonesia, by the way, watching the trailer for the Indon version (called Bang Mak, IIRC) was how I found out that the Tid Noi ending was based on Pee Mak.
Any entity that supports the savage military junta in Myanmar is complicit in war crimes, extreme inhumane behavior, and genocide. There should be no confusion about that. Unfortunately to oppose such a well funded military regime is expensive and those entities have resorted to illegal trades to fund their opposition. I am sympathetic to the intention but of course that trade is inherent with its own issues as mentioned and will unlikely abate if the junta is ever overthrown. Greed is a powerful force. Solving this issue is complex and multi-faceted but at the very least lets understand what the root cause is here.
So sad to hear about Mr. Boucher but please it is pronounced like the “Ghost sound Booo” 😂. Its originally a French name I believe, a common name in my part of Canada.
As he was British, I thought an ‘English’ pronunciation was more appropriate. But thanks for the advice. I really didn’t know if his origin was French or not.
Yes! Thank you Tim for your daily reporting and live Saturday slot! It obviously takes a great deal of time effort and editing..of which you do so well and is very much appreciated...always enjoyed.. A Very Happy Christmas to one and all 🎉
I was in Surat Thani when it started raining on the 14th. I got scared and flew out on the 16th. Happily my friends down there are safe and totally understood why I chickened out. Wish I hadn't, I miss the peace and quiet of the Durian orchard where I was staying.
As per usual fashionista Khun Tim ! Love the sparking appropriate for the Christmas season fast approaching ❤ BTW Have a Merry Christmas and a healthy wealthy New Year to come 🎉

The baddies were the American backed government

Who says he overdosed tho?
Middle aged men die for all sorts of reasons.
Middle aged men die for all sorts of reasons…. following attendance at a Thai drug-fuelled beach party.

He most likely OD on alcohol . Then maybe a 20% chance it was natural causes.
Interesting they booked the car but you see the coaches lit up like a UFO and even some of the Bhat buses.
What did the Chinese woman eat.... and was it dead when she consumed it?
She was eating herself
Pangolin?
Durian fruit

Probably a refugee from war. Owning a car isn't unusual. 😮
Many of my friends buy cheap scooter every time they're in Thailand when staying 2-5 months.. So I don't see why someone couldn't buy a car.

@@iskandartaib Why is it your business what a Russian tourist, or any tourist, does in Thailand? Why would it concern you?

Could only be Soylent Green!
Tim do U belive there R duty of care in land of smile?
Duty, yes. Reality, no.
What is fart in thai 😂
ตด (dtòt) = to fart
Fart in Thai is pronounced and sounds like ‘ tote’ for us English speakers
@@kensanders0088 close, but accurate pronunciation isn’t a “t” sound .. it’s a combination of “d” and “t” and is not aspirated
Here in america we have a ugly christmas sweater. They're in Thailand you have an ugly Christmas shirt.
Who disturbs the fish that creates the violinist show?
Huh?
Cryptic message of the day ??? Maybe violinist Vanessa Mae doing the song “Classical Gas” after eating sardines
💃🏻🎻💨
Maybe government using tax money at a 5 star hotels for meetings sends the wrong message?
