This album definitely qualifies as one of those under the radar, hidden gems. I've never seen this album, and I've never heard it. As you describe it, it sounds terrific. You checked all the boxes on the audiophile attributes in a vinyl record that audiophiles seek. This one is definitely going in my wish list. Thank you for covering this type of unusual record. 👍👍👍
I was looking at some new statistics for the channel and guess who is my number one contributor! Audiophileman has logged more comments than anyone else! Love having conversations with you my friend. Congratulations. You are an inportant part of what makes the channel special. I think, based on our similar tastes, that this would be right up your alley. I hope you get to hear it somehow. It’s a delight!
@@ThePressingMatters I heard a track off of Sounds Unheard Of. You're right. It's definitely my kind of music and an excellent recommendation from you. 😻
@@ThePressingMatters I'm a pretty conversational person, so I'm not too surprised that I win the comment contest. 😊 There's always more to discuss when it comes to music. It's a pleasure to be a subscriber to your channel and to talk to you about our shared interest in sound. 👍👍👍
You have broader knowledge about modern records than I do. I've learned and continue to learn a lot from you. 👏 If you don't hear from me, it means that I'm busy or in some cases the topic doesn't interest me. I look forward to your next video and more conversations about music with you in the future. 💪👊
I remember when I first discovered Chad's enterprise back in the 90s I got his sampler, and Poinciana was on it. I meant to pick up the whole record but never got around to it, so thrilled to be reminded and now have a way of getting it. I don't always comment on your videos, but watch them all religiously. Keep up the great work, Scott!
I am also a big fan of your channel, one of the few I like. Your knowledge is impressive and your delivery is very welcoming. I too don't often take time to comment, but keep up the great work.
Thanks for the wonderful review, Scott! I have cut back on purchases and was on the fence regarding this one, but your beautiful, nostalgic story of the early days of buying from Chad and Analogue Productions has reeled me in. Can’t wait to hear this.
Thank you for your comments. It was a pleasure revisiting it and bringing it to your attention. I actually had intended to review the Revival Series release long before a new reissue was even a possibility. Now I had a great opportunity to tell the story of it and I'm very happy those who'd like it can actually acquire it. Please let me know if you go for it and how you like it!
Thx for the review! Definitely gonna grab it as I wasn’t familiar with this title until Chad recently announced it but I’m a big Shelly Manne fan. Also you were right about Ray Brown, fantastic LP!!!
Awesome! The Ray Brown was great, and this is killer too! Was a great month for Analogue Productions! These deserve t pl be in print on high quality editions for all to enjoy.
Great review as always. Picking it up soon at my local store. Jack Marshall & Shelly Manne recorded a similar album, different songs. titled 'The sensitive guitar and exciting percussion of Jack Marshall & Shelly Manne', for Capitol Records. The sound is wonderful. Have you heard or of it? My copy sounds wonderful and the musical content and performance is top notch. Cheers and keep these informative reviews coming.
No, that's not the one I was thinking of. It's a record of percussion and odd sounds, I don't think it was by these artists. When I locate it, ill give it a play and report on it.
I still have hand-written receipts from Chad, thats how far back we go. Sometimes our calls would last two hrs...we're close in age and became fast friends.
@@davidchan8108Its been years since I had a copy of the first Live album. I'd love to hear it again toses if I agree! I don't recall it surpassing SEBTP, which I've always considered the top of the PG era.
Hi Matt! So great to hear from you! I'm glad you were able to find this video. We all love what your father and Shelley Manne were able to create here. Fantastic record, and its sounding better than ever!
Unfortunately I didn't have it for cf this record. Its hard to imagine it would top these two but I'd love to find out.maybe someone who has it will comment.
It looks like it might be, but its a lovely tree lined neighborhood in Miami, actually it's officially a bird sanctuary. If I did a video outside you'd hear the birds singing too. I'm pretty blessed with my location.
@@ThePressingMatters Sounds pretty cool. I've got a bit of a bird sanctuary myself as we put out six feeders and we are inundated with the little critters. I've already gone through over 100 pounds of seed and it's not winter yet, lol. The squirrels and chipmunks are taking advantage too.

Very interesting LP, Scott. I may purchase a copy.
Its a great one, I've always loved it. If you love demo quality sound with interesting musical ideas, you'll love it too!
The first AP/Acoustic Sounds reissue I ever heard was the Weavers Return To Carnegie Hall Vol 1. I still have my copy.

It was amazing watching him grow this business! Each decision was spot on.
Hi Scott, sorry for being off topic, just to make sure you'll review Genesis Nursery Cryme AP 45 rpm. Looking forward!
Of course I will be! I am a huge Genesis fan and can not wait to hear this! I have a UK and Classic ready to roll baby!
@ thanks. I don’t mean to sound sarcastic but my favourite best sounding Genesis (PG era) is the single LP “Genesis Live”.
