It's alr post ww3 according to the lore. As for tanks, there are several but not much. Beware, spoiler below

Ww3 saw long range guided missile targetting system interfered by atmospheric collapse cloud. Combat shifted to mass carpet bombing ww2 style and then to violent ground combat. As for the new barely tested combat dolls turns out capable of getting close and wrecking havoc to several armored units making countries invested in more dolls than tanks. Anti infantry automatons also developed to counter adversaries dolls in return. It is also worth to note tht it is cheaper to arms several dolls with pre ww3 guns, equipped them with some fire control module and send them to hell, retrieve their backup memory if they get destroyed and redeploy them back to hell than raising men for 18-24 years only to get shredded by AI precised robots in a blink of an eye
