Remember watching this with my mother on television. She didn't like Streisand, she always she gave her a headache (….). But watching this concert she was smiling all the way through. "I have to admit - that that was great,"she said at the end. And it was.

This version is specially beautiful because the song is also tragic and an anticipation of a really dramatic twist on the story, but when Barbra sings it, she leaves all that pain aside and just keep the sweet nostalgia and happiness. Not accurate but valid and lovely interpretation.
Her rendition is not for a Broadway play. This is very good for a regular concert I give her that. I’ve seen the Broadway play of Sunset Boulevard and the rendition of this song by the Broadway actors/opera singers were SUPERB!!! Top notch!!
And worth every penny. She is the best entertainment has to offer. She comes from the time you didn't make it unless you had real talent. No dubbing, she sang live with an orchestra and no lip synching. Just pure greatness in presentation and delivery.
