Thanks for watching the video, and for your support!
Wow you made me go from "this is way too confusing" to "wow this is way simpler than I thought". Great video!
Love to hear that! I’m still learning better ways to make things easier, and I’m happy when people are able to get it! Enjoy 3D! 🙌🏾💯
@@drugfreedave just about to watch for the first time and i'm incredibly excited
The whole time I thought he’s channeling his inner Bob Ross. This was a great tutorial
I was thinking the same thing! ❤
he kinda sounds like bob ross also!
I know! It has such an ASMR effect lol
I appreciate you boss! These comments slide past me sometimes, just now seeing it 💯🙌🏾
Just said this to a friend of mine 😂 then I saw your comment. He definitely is
The Bob Ross of Nomad Sculpt. Love the videos!
Really appreciate the calm tone of your videos. And lack of music. Very nice tutorial. Thanks
Yes, thanks for no music!
this might not be the comment ur looking for but my ass was literally in bed lulled to sleep while watching ur tutorial lmao, relaxing vibes, but ima have to rewatch it at work so i dont fall asleep
I considered changing my channels name to sleepy time 3D with Drugfreedave 🥰😴😁
Haha, I had the exact same but with a different video just a bit earlier! And I have insomnia so go figure!
But super helpful video and I'm so motivated to learn everything I can about this app thanks to your videos. So thanks a lot!
Just now starting to get into digital sculpting. I’ve done clay sculpting before. But this is SO MUCH more in depth than I ever thought
This is a fantastic tutorial. Really helped me to understand the Nomad Sculpt app. Keep up the great job, man!
my first time learning nomad. this tutorial was so easy to follow and had so much fun.
thank you!
Hey Dave. Thank you for this!
I just picked up NOMAD the other day and this is my first venture into 3D Sculpting!
You made it very easy to navigate!
Dave! I was really hard on you when you first began this sharing process, BUT with this video alone you have proven yourself to be an excellent teacher. This creation is logical and memorable for people to remember. Kudos to you😀👍
Helped me tremendously, never sculpted before and never had a pressure pen for zbrush to learn so I'm only starting out, but I got the galaxy s23 ultra came with a pen, and with this tutorial it helped me learn how to kinda start off on my own character, I wasn't following to recreate but to gain an understanding of the tools and you did extremely well at explaining that and the general process for a cute character, thank ya so much! This is my foundation into this part of the scene now and I highly appreciate your work
I love this so much! I’ve been tinkering in Nomad but this is the first tutorial I’ve watched. Thanks for the walkthrough!
the best tutorial i’ve ever followed, i’ve had nomad for a while but ive been REALLY intimidated by it, but this really broke it down in a way i could understand, thank you so much, i love my new lil guy :D
you are a great teacher. so many other tutorials show important steps only one time and it can be easy to miss critical info. You do a good job of explaining the process thoroughly and introducing new techniques in a way that is easy to digest.
Dude thanks so much for this tutorial! Im mainly focused on 2d illustration and animation but this video helped me sculpt something for the first time. Thank you for being really slow and patient, it’s just what i needed as an introduction to this medium
Such an amazing simplifying tutorial! Thank you so much!
You voice is ASMR btw 😂🤍
Fantastic tutorial, very clear, great mellow voice! Thanks
This is the best 3d modeling tutorial ever. Thank you so much!!
That's one of the best tutorial out there and thanks for making it.
A wonderful tutorial that was easy to follow and straight forward- amazing! I've struggled with getting into 3D art for the longest, but this helped so much. Thank you again, Dave! Looking forward to more videos in the future ☺☺
Thanks for the outstanding tutorial, Dave! As a 2D artist who has never gelled with 3D, I assumed it just wasn't for me. I've tried Zbrush countless times and have never found it intuitive at all, but Nomad looked like it might be a bit easier to get to grips with and after following your tutorial I can confirm that it definitely is! Cheers for making it all seem so much more approachable, I'm now keen to carry on experimenting more!
Same here! Something about nomads layout is just more reminiscent of 2d digital programs so it feels more natural
@@pipper6942💯
How are you getting on? You're comment could have been written by myself! Also a 2D artist I was about to try for the 3rd time to master Zbrush but hit a wall when I couldnt get a learning copy of the software. I stumbled across Nomad today and it looks incredible for only £14.99. Look forward to seeing what its like.
Amazing tutorial! Makes me want to get into 3d modeling.
This tutorial was amazing! I didn’t get overwhelmed by information at all! It’s filled me with confidence! 💜🎉
Hey just wanted to say thank youuuu this has boosted my confidence in 3d I’ve been sticking to 2d and 2d animation 😭😭😭will be doing more of these from your RUclips much love
This tutorial is amazing! Its super easy to follow and i never felt overwhelmed or felt that it was too hard! Thank you ❤
Most user-friendly tutorial I’ve seen in years. Thanks man
Thanks so much, glad you’re enjoying them! 💯😊
You sir are a Bob Ross of Nomad sculpting, thank you!
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! 💯 🙌🏾
This video made me decide to get Nomad Sculpt. Thank you so much
Thanks, great timing! I recently got an IPAD Air 5th Gen, mainly for video shorts and Nomad Sculpt. Just waiting for a budget to buy an Apple Pencil 2. I tried Nomad Sculpt before but shifted to Blender to continue my online course. And now I'm back to switch between those two app. Hoping they actually release a Blender App for tablets :D.
Same here XD, Nomad seems can handle what Zbrush can do but I hope they'll have one like blender/3dsmax soon. I am just guessing but I am pretty optimistic about it
@@satriadibasuki yeah hoping for one soon. Hopefully the IPAD with M1 will still be compatible by that time. But if not, Nomad Sculpt will always be there for us
Nomad work good on iPad air
I just bought Nomad. I can't wait to follow along and create this cute little guy.
Awesome tutorial man, was able to follow along just fine. I have played around with sculpting in the past, but this is the first time I was able to make anything. Thank you!
Love to hear that! Glad to be a small part of your 3D journey!! 😊
Your voice is so soothing and I love how you build your models from primitive shapes. You are the best 3d teacher I've seen and heard.
Thank you so much I appreciate the kind words and support! 💯🙌🏾😁
Thanks, I really enjoyed this. I bought Nomad a long while ago but didn't really bother with it until recently when I decided I wanted to try to learn digital sculpting. My PC is basically a potato so NS seems like a great way to be able to sculpt without my hardware lagging constantly. The information was clear and precise and I managed to follow everything with ease.
One of the best nomad tutorials I’ve seen. Can’t wait to make some models!
I decided to try 3d art with Nomad Sculpt, and you really helped me with this one. Thank you, and bless your soul 🙇♀️
Great tutorial! You seem to be the aficionado on nomad sculpt as far finding great tutorials on youtube for it! Thanks Dave!
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate you! Glad you’re enjoying the channel, much more to come!! 💯🙌🏾
What a great start for a beginner like me, thanks a lot🙏
Boy did I need this, I have been using 3D coat for a few years now and wanted a mobile solution. Now after watching this video I am way more informed and confident. Thank you.
You know this is beautiful man Thank you ❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH I got a hang of the controls immediately, keep it going man this is amazing
This video was very helpful for me as a starter, thank you!
I made this! Thank you for making this tutorial.
Excellent intro. Been interested in expanding from 2D into 3D and this makes me feel like I can wrap my head around the tools enough to get started. Thanks!
Thank you so so much for making this tutorial! After watching this tutorial I bought the app myself! With your tutorial, it gave me enough guidance to make my own Snorlax (from Pokémon) sculpture by myself. Thank you for opening my eyes to 3D art, I can’t wait to explore it more through your channel! ❤
wow i can finally actually do something on this app. Thank you for your amazing tutorial! looking forward to watching all of your vids
this is a god send I've been looking for something that I could use to create concept and models for 3d printing. This tutorial gives me hope on how I can do this I can already see how this can be applied to mey ideas. Thank you
Got Nomad a few minutes ago, gonna start going wild today. Thank you, sir!
Really simple explanation. And the voice.. it's like Nomad's Bob Ross :D I will do the full course.
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen
Just got this app and with this tutorial learning a LOT now! Thank you.
It is currently 2am but hey I sculpted a little guy and he is adorable! very satisfied, will sculpt again! 🧡💛💚💙
Very nice tut I was following along easily the entire time
I really enjoyed this tutorial and it's starting to all make sense.
Dave, I've been learning Blender, and while it's a fine package, you've helped me learn this enough to find it far more intuitive for creating the character.
Yep, I feel exactly thee same way! Also, while I love what blender can produce, i just can’t sculpt artistically with it. I’m very grateful to have both! 😊🙌🏾
Just completed this tutorial. I'm on a slightly later version, so there have been minor UI tweaks. I would have liked to have seen the mirror/symmetry line in the centre of my sculpt, but apart from that I'm so pleased with how my first project turned out. Thanks so much for clear and easy to follow instructions :)
Been following for a long while now and your videos are always incredibly helpful, I decided to go back to scratch for some things as there are elements of Nomad I've never used (layers, as an example) and would love to become more familiar with. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks for the great tutorial , l done digital art before but doing this 3D and creating characters like this looks very interesting 👍
Oh maaan your tutorial is a gold mine, you explain everything so well, am so glad I found your channel. Keep up the good work. And I hope you can make some version of hardsurface like a robot or something.
Your tuts are amazing. Simple and clear
seeing the feeties made me happier than it shoulda done lol
love the tutorial, thank you dave!!
Love it! I will definitely try nomad sculpt!
This is absolutely the most calm and Informative tutorial
Love this video! Super good detail and very helpful, ty for your videos. Happy I found your channel. Excited to see what I can create and move further with 3d art, even rendering if I can
So far this is the best tutorial I’m watching fr
Thank you so much i was so overwhelmed at first and hadnt even touched the app yet until i watched this and followed along thank you for this
Such a great video!!! Especially at the end with lights❤
I just bought Nomad and this tutorial is very helpful! Thanks Dave
Wow, great tutorial, thanks mate!
I'm learning so much here, thank you 🙏
thank you. i was just watching and doing your previous Version today too.
Thank you so much for the tutorial! One thing i like to do in blender is make my key light a light amber color like sun light and i make the fill light blue. It makes for a really realistic look. I recommend trying it of you haven't ever.
Oh yes 100% I even try to do that when I produce my videos for my classes! Love the orange and blue lighting, so great in films 🎥
Yes it was very usefull and I am glad I found you on skill share. this is the first tutorial I watch about this app, that I just pourchase, and I am glad to see how easy it is to learn to use it. It Really helped me to start understanding the Nomad Sculpt app. Keep up the great job, man!
It's been a while since I've done 3d art but you've really inspired be to give it a proper go. Thanks!
I learned a lot. Thank you Dave for these neat tutorials.
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I have never imagined that I can make a character. Today I tried and I succeeded. Thank you for your teaching. ❤
So glad to hear it! Your character will be the first of many!! 💯
You got paint on your thumb ;-) Great video with awesome pace. Thank you very much.
Smh what a great guy you are Dave. This a perfect video. Thanks for all you do. I’ll be tagging you soon 🙏🏾
Superb introduction ... first time looking at this software ... my wife will become addicted to Nomad Sculpt ... she's already an avid user of Procreate!
I'm not the first, but it must be said; you have made something that seemed so incredibly IMPOSSIBLE in my eyes look simple. To some degree I think this program must be very simple, too, a saving grace, but man! What a cute little guy. All I really want is to be able to mock up character designs (mostly dragons) in a 3d environment, so that I can draw them in different angles with consistency, and was dreading the approach to 3D modelling. I've got a pretty good imagination and can make some pretty 2D drawings, but it's limited at the 3d conceptualisation. Using Nomad will hopefully help immensely.
Ultimately, it makes sense; everything 3D is ultimately made up of various shapes. That's all it is. But when I say I hate sculping with irl clay, boy, does THIS video get my hyped to try out sculpting, without the temperamental nature of real clay, which NEVER wanted to work with me (tempted to just buy the fullout thing - it's not expensive, and it's a one-time purchase in a world of damned subscriptions. I appreciate it).
I think the biggest learning curve is going to be gizmo, funnily enough, but I'll get there. Definitely going to check out more of your videos in Nomad! And such a wonderful tutorial. No fuss, step by step - not taking things ingrained in memory for granted, letting the viewer see the process - good pace (slow enough to sink in, but not borish). One of the better ones I've seen on art RUclips, lol.
Thank you very much for the tutorial :)
EDIT, only two hours later: I AM IN LOVE! In just this short time I can now see every angle of my dragon darling’s head, and have been able to sculpt it into reality. And half of an hour was spent just getting the app bought (so I could save this! No way I was letting it go) bc I had technical difficulties with google.
Cannot thank you enough for getting me started. This is literally gamechanging for my art :3
The best tutorial on this tool so far. So easy to follow
Thank you so much for this tutorial ❤️❤️
thank you for this I'm starting to learn 3D, from being a 2D digital artist, the tools are kinda a whole lot different and were pretty overwhelming. This helps a lot
Can u do jewelry(ring, necklace…etc) tutorials i love ur videosss
I really enjoyed this tutorial. Great pace and very informative 👏
I wish I could post all the awesome things I have made following your tutorials!
I‘m new to nomad and I really enjoy your content!
can you do a full tutorial bout measurement, snap and everything that has to do with size, shape etc. and is there a way to have shapes automatically snap to the grid when resizing? I’m tired of zooming in for perfect line up lol! wanna sculpt tech products, like notebooks etc.
wow i actually learned that you for being clear
this was so fun and well explained. Thanks a lot for this crash course intro to this fabulous app. Looking forward for more cool ideas from you!
Thank you so much. I learned lots of things about Nomad Sculpt:)
Thank you for this great tutorial. Good to get basic knowledge about the software. I have learned a lot from it.
This was super phenomenal and fun to follow!! Thank you!
Wonderful tutorial, very helpful! Thanks!
Thank you for this easy tutorial ❤
Great tutorial, thanks 👍
I feel like I can do this! Thanks 😀
I really wanted to see how the app worked before I bought it and now I’m ready to throw my money at it and jump into sculpting. I’ve tried in the past but could never get the hang of it on other programs like blender was way to confusing but this looks way simpler
Thank you so much for this video! I made a simple model yesterday and printed it out today. It is very satisfying! ❤
David Ross, great tutorial to start❤
You’re voice is so relaxing I loved watching this! Also I loved that you named teeth teefies 😂
Great! Can’t wait to try!
sir, thank you! just bought the app yesterday and I'm really looking forward learning a new skill and your video is awesome for noobs like me
