Clapping in sync means "encore!" Usually the crowd will speed up until the performer returns to the stage, at which time they'll break the synchronization and applaud normally :)
She has by far the best technique of all the concert violinists under 40, and plays consistently expressively and emotionally. A true virtuoso, and , like Heifetz, she makes it seem so effortless.
She is great, but to say she has the best technique, especially to say by far is an insane stretch. Augustin hadelich is unbelievable and personally I think more technically proficient. Julia Fischer too. She is great but that is a vast overstatement
note: its ok if it is a syncronized clap or not before they perform. But when you want to clap mid-way the performance, you need to clap/adapt to the BPM/tempo of the piece/performer. In that way the performers will not be out of sync playing the piece. :)

Year old comment, but I couldn’t agree more. In fact I like Liszt’s arrangement and this piece better on piano. I’m also a violinist so I’m a heretic in this sense.

Her performance is so amazing. It feels like I'm hearing a real bell. This is my favorite version of La Campanella so far. I love how she makes the notes sound so clear and elegant. Great job Clara!!
Oh yeah the clarity is cool. There's no sense taking a piece that's too fast for you and blurring the notes or skipping a few. And even if a piece is super quick it's nice to still be able to follow each note.
Not atypical for La Campanella. It's frequently used as an encore piece and is generally considered very, very advanced. When performers smack the audience with it in an encore some get very excited.
