In 1990 Linda Calvey went to jail for 18 and a half years for the murder of her lover Ronnie Cook, eventually becoming Britain’s longest-serving female prisoner and moving to 14 different prisons during her time inside. She even shared a prison with Rose West and Myra Hindley. Nicknamed 'The Black Widow' because all of her lovers ended up in prison or dead.

You are by far the most rude and obnoxious hosts / interviewers I’ve seen so far!

They’re both so rude. What’s the point of asking a question just to say ‘we don’t have time to go over it…’ - annoying

Why ask a question then cut her short when she answered? Ruth was SO rude at the end.

Wouldn’t blame Ruth- they have to stick to a certain time limit for each interviewee

I am a journalist, and a lot has to do with what goes on backstage. As someone already said, there is the director telling what she needs to do. Sometimes the director will tell them to make it short, or "end it", because they need to go to an ad or the ratings in real time are not good and they want to move on to something else. Also, it can be that she was talking about a crime she was convicted but she says she didn't do and this can be trick for a TV channel in the legal aspect. So, the director could have alerted that they can't let het say "she was in prison by a mistake" because that would make it seems like they were agreeing with that and even helping her. If justice says you did something and you went to trial and was convicted it can be some sort of crime (in some places) if you say they, did it wrong, because she had the chance of a fair trial and even to ask for a re-trial if she thought something went wrong. Let's not forget there is the family of the lover that she was convicted of killing. There is a thin line in she talking about prison life and she saying she did nothing wrong. The TV channel won't get into that!

@@Real-fc6vvbut I thought they already ran through what was going to be asked and the questions they’d prepared, I don’t see the point in sitting down to do an interview only to them have the director say no you can’t say this or that, also they know what time they have for interviews. I think it’s really sloppy journalism and it also says to me we are t really interested in you, you’re just here to fill a few minutes.
This morning is hardly high brow journalism anyway is it.
