- This week on the channel we are bringing you a very exciting 666 Match where you play Fourball Betterball with a different partner each 6 holes and receive an amount of points based on the final score of the match after each 6 holes. For example, if you win 3UP then you get 3 points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the match is the winner.
The players featured in this match are Dan Hendriksen (pro), Lester Barnes (4), Lee Whittaker (pro) and Dan Toogood (pro). To make everything fair, Lester will get 1 shot per 6 hole match on the hardest stroke index of those holes.
Weston-super-Mare is known as one of Dr Alistair Mackenzie's top hidden gem golf courses that he came in and redesigned. We hope you all enjoy watching this fun series.

Some beautiful golf DH (and the other Dan). Good to see Lee back...always tough to work through a case of shanks. We’ve all been there. Lee’s got such a good attitude...some of us would be snapping our clubs. And great to see Bernie striping his new Sub 70 irons ⛳️👍
This course just keeps getting better, geez Bernie is hitting those new clubs very well, I think he is getting more distance out of them.
They are a couple of degrees stronger in lofts, but he's hitting them a club and a half further Damian.
Surely we’ve all had a round like this, when you just can’t strike it? Luckily we don’t have to do it in front the camera 😂. Never mind lee we’ve all seen you play in the past and look forward to seeing it again 👍

It was hard to know what to say Dan, we have all had days like that.
Watching this so far, apart from the iron shots Lee’s game was very good and he did well not to let the iron shanks creep into other parts of his game such as chipping and driving

So many to choose from. P.S. there is something worse, it’s called putting blo*dy yips. As in this part, the dreaded shanks will go away, the blo*dy yips seem to rear their ugly head just when you least expect and it is much more frustrating than the shanks imo.

Poor Lee. Once you got'em , you got'em. Once played a stroke play event at Pont Royal, france. Fellow golfer scored 13 on a par 3. 10 shanks, 2 putts. To be fair he didn't NR !
Go Lee! A few errant shots doesn't ruin a day out playing golf. It might spoil the score card but don't let it stop the enjoyment of playing on a really lovely course and a beautiful sunny day.

Lee is a great guy great reviews just need a Dan review on channel 2 to find the middle of Lee's club face again. Since we have all been there it would make for a really good video and would all enjoy seeing him stripe it again.
Oh and I think we have a new Mr Man.. Mr Too damn good. What a player, Dan and Bernie looking in form also 👍👍

Lee don't worry mate we all been there I once shanked literally every shot once with all my clubs even a driver at Perranporth lol needless to say I came last,we've met at looe in the pal and I know your a good ball striker,proper golfers on here no how you feel and it's only a bit of banter 👍

Well done to Lee for fighting through the battle of the hosel! I've got the same mental block with my irons where I'm struggling for clubface control so at the top of my back swing I either panic I'm going to hook it and then present the club 45' open or I worry I'll deliver it open and hit a low hook. Bizarrely only happens with 6-8 iron but is mega frustrating. Reassuring to see a very good player having similar issues but not getting too down about it. Also how good is Bernie playing now??!! Striping it big lad!! Love to see it.

No stand bag for Lester with the new clubs?! That’s not how you treat new toys! It’s so tough when a playing partner has the shanks. Do you give some advice, leave them alone, laugh? Tough call 😃 Poor Lee, but still always laughing and enjoying himself. Those greens are absolutely beautiful it must be said!

I mostly Suffer from Toe Shanks. Standing up in Downswing , Pulling Club Down to The Inside , For Years now! and When I Don’t I Shoot mid to Low 70’s

Everyone knows you are a good golfer, I hope the boys gave you some pointers in the next part… I have a tip which may help if it’s still an issue (sometimes I shank it during round warm up)

I drove past Weston last year and I had an urge to play it... reminds me of quite a lot of the courses in Lancashire where I'm from!
Great to see Lee back in the vlogs but wow, must be soul destroying when you know what you're capable of and you're shanking everything. Now I'm not exactly in a position to give advice, but he seemed to be rushing his iron shots and lacks a consistent routine .. but maybe that's being cut out of the vids. Anyway, a lesson in perseverance for sure!

i would have walked in Lee's position lol....Ive had a few shanking rounds , you can feel the embarrassment of your playing partners and you get more and more scared to release the golf club for fear of shanking....Chin up to Lee for carrying on and keeping as much composure as possible....Look forward to see him striping it again, very soon.

I really like Lee, Keeps an even keel even though the hosel rockets have appeared. I'll just let Lee know I went a full summer with that issue cropping in and out of my game and back in the day we only had friends to really give us advice. For me personally the best advice from a close friend was don't worry about your swing Bill , just decrease your "Hosel insurance deductable" . :)
Our little Dan succumbed to the pressure of carrying his partner. Part 3 will test Too Good Dan's ability too handle the pressure of Lee Whitaker golf😁
Young Dan definitely lives up to his surname some absolute bombs. Mind you the slightly older Dan is fantastic with the flat stick. Bernie hitting some terrific shots with his new clubs. Poor old Lee having a bad case of the Ravi’s but he will come back like a train

The sound when Dan T strikes the ball is superb. I'm not a fan of hackers like me offering advice to good golfers but having watched Lee quite a lot he appears to be standing closer to the ball than usual. Just a thought.
He is a proper striker and the sound of his strike is different to mine Phil.
Great stuff as usual guys. Loving the shank count, but feeling Lee’s pain. I had a round recently where everything felt wrong all day. Not full shanks but might as well have been for how bad it was.

There’s certainly some on and off golf going on boys but that is golf for you,dan does strike a ball for shore and those little slopes can catch even the best of people out
The sound off the club when both Dans strike the ball is amazing. You can tell they both hit it flush. I only mention the Dans because it was noticeable on the drives especially. You could tell the ball was going miles before seeing the shot. Tough little course. Greens are amazing.

I think the first Alister MacKenzie course I ever played was " Cavendish " in Buxton . I believe there is a hole there that it is thought he used in his design for a hole at Augusta

What a wonderful course, Toogood can really bomb it. Is he as long as James Ruth or Wilbur? Bernie is striping his clubs well, his fitting appears to suit him. Kudos to Sub 70. Classic Bernie: “ Lee this is the closest you’ve been to a hole.” Lee needs some shots.

I once had a rnd like this Bristol and Clifton, played front 9 nicely, stood on 10th tee and shanked an iron! They stuck with me all season.. was horrendous 😫 he’d be better off shutting his eyes 🤣🤣
Bernie's new Sob 70 clubs have made a huge difference to his game. I wonder if it's the clubs or just that he has more self confidence that is the difference? Either way he won't be getting 3 shots a round for too much longer!👍👍

As a regular shanker , I find that my playing partners sometimes act like I’ve got a contagious disease so they keep their distance and don’t make eye contact.

id genuinely love to hear dan breakdown what is the part of lee's swing that makes him shank it. It must be something small as he normally strikes it well if he doesn't try leather it every time 😆. Hope he can get his confidence back

Maybe need to reconsider and show case with two 16 /18 handicap players along side two professional . As demonstrated by Mr Whitaker there is more to a course than the fairways 🤔
