- Guest of Honor: Harry Lee Crisp III, President of Pepsi MidAmerica and Marine Corps Veteran 1 July 2010.
While serving in the Marines Corps, Lee was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California where he was tasked by LtGen McKissock to be the Officer-in-Charge of the newly formed Command Information Center, a logistics command and coordination center at the 1st FSSG. The Center’s mission was to test new logistics concepts and methods. Lee was promoted early to the rank of Captain and received the Meritorious Service Medal before completing his service with the Marines in October, 1996.
Following his active duty service, Lee continued to serve the nation and the Marine Corps as a leader and board member for many charitable organizations, including as one of the Founders of National Museum of Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.
Lee has been awarded 44 United States patents for his inventions. His patent portfolio has been licensed to the major soft drink & appliance companies for use throughout the United States. One invention was the interactive beverage fountain drink dispenser, licensed to the Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo & Berkshire Hathaway (Cornelius), Bunn Coffee and many others. This invention is found in over 400,000 locations, and revolutionized the logistics, economics, and data available in the beverage industry.

Salute from The Netherlands ; this parade is awsome.............semper fi !
The ceremony was impeccable! These Marines bring great credit upon themselves, the U.S.M.C, and the United States of America.
I hear you, but it looked a lot British to me. Especially the fur hats. That's the Queen's home guard right there. Red tunics and those big fur hats.
Actually the fur hats are originally French.
@@carl6131They Are bearskins. Watch the Royal Marines, Beating the Retreat.
Saw them when we (Marine husband and I) were stationed in Quantico in 1963. Great memory.
Salute from Peru. The military march is so beatiful.
Lots of love and admiration from me. I'm Peter and I am from the Netherlands. This was Fantastic !!! Thank you very much.
God Bless The USMC, With Total Love and Respect from The UK 💔
It is astounding! My son-in-law was sworn in as a CWO3 in the Rotunda of the museum! He retired 3 years ago after 20 years of service at Camp Pendleton, CA. He is a veteran of the Shock & Awe in Iraq. He was deployed to Afghanistan for nine months within months of completing Officers Training! God bless our stellar Marines, presently serving, retired and God bless the families of those who were killed in the atrocious pull out from Afghanistan! God bless America! SEMPER FI!

@@fire_man3173 That’s the long name. Yorkscher marsch means march of Jork, Marsch des jorkschen Korps means march of jork‘s corps.
@@Marco-bf4uu I see... My bad.
Good evening and thank you for this wonderful moment that you share with us with this beautiful video. Certainly which is very long but really sincerely I would like to congratulate you on this video of 2010 which indeed takes again the marvelous music of the American navies but also many instruments which are used and which was used. There was a time on Napoleon's battlefields. The time is behind us and in Europe we will never forget the sacrifice of the boys who came from the USA to liberate the old continent.
My congratulations for everything, regularly I will bow to the American flag in many places of the USABMC, whether in Normandy, in the Ardennes, the battle of the Colmar pocket very close to me or float on the plain Alsatian your flag with multiple changes since the war of independence until today, everywhere we find places of memory.
It is from Alsace that I am writing to you and that I wish to pay tribute in this way by watching this wonderful sharing.
May God protect each country, I the teacher of religions, may God protect America to whom we owe a lot after having offered La Fayette for the freedom of your country.
Recognition and friendship.
I have ancestors who came to live and migrate thus in your beautiful country.
Respectfully and sincerely. Aimé
My husband fought in Vietnam with the Marines. We visited your beautiful country 2 years ago and shared the WWII memories of your region. Your people had it rough before and during that war. Thank you for your lovely words concerning our beloved Marine Corps. Son and grandson are also Marines. Semper Fi!
This never gets old ... Proud to have been a Marine.
Salute! From the Philippines.
Can you imagine what it takes to reach this level of perfection for the Infantry Marines, the Band and the late COL Truman W. Crawford's (my instructor and friend) US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps?
This was our favorite thing to do when we lived in DC, and an absolute must when company visited!
Our Magnificent Marine Corps 🇺🇸
Semper Fi !
Thank you Marines for your service. Having just watched the Queens funeral,I really think we need BIGGER BANDS! As nice as this was,it needs to be LOUDER, more musicians!

Every time I hear this version of “Evening Colors” it makes me tear up. I’m truly honored to have served the greatest country in the world.
Wonderful simply wonderful!
Wanting to see a real Drum Major for research, I came to this. Such pageantry and decorum. Such discipline and precision. I cried through the whole thing. God bless the U.S.A. I hope to go to the Evening March some day. I live in Maryland.
Truly, you must go! You don't live far from DC. It is so much more meaningful seen and experienced in person! GO!!!!

toujours les larmes aux yeux ! une si belle armee ( vive les USA )
Try playing this at 1.25x speed and hearing the pep and precision of the musicians! 😄
I like to see them make trick and no how to use the weapon. 😊👍
Good job 👍
We can see so clearly how much our military traditions harken back to the Mother Country… 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
We are a family of 5 generations of Marines. The uniform and the idea of a US Marine Corps, was directly patterned after the British Marines. The uniforms are almost identical. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Viva i Marines! Forever
We took our Marine reunion there in 2014
Best of the best!!!!!!!!
Don’t try to convince me, that the “ Csárdás Királynő” operett is not involved at all in this beatiful show!
I was there in 1976. 25th tropic lighting. Scofield barraks hawaii
perfecto,
You need to see the Brazilian Marines band. It's very pretty too.
Ils sont forts américains 🇺🇸🇫🇷👍💪😎
Low brass really buggered Army of the Nile at about 9:50. John Bourgeois would have had a cow.
Notice that the riflemen protecting the Colors properly shoulder their rifles outboard from the flags. It is symbolic of protecting our Colors.
During the War of 1812 the British burned Washington, including the White House. They spared the Commandant's house in respect of the Marines's fighting abilities against them on the British march on DC.
Semper Fi from 62.
I don't understand how they don't have this memorized. Playing this and being in "The President's Own" is akin to Frank Sinatra not knowing the words to "New York New York." I was priviliged at 17 to be invited to Washington D.C. to perform with them in concert as an honor under Colonel R Bourgoise. I had returned the previous year touring Europe in a carefully auditioned 80 piece Wind Orchestra where I had been featured. My responsibilities also included conducting the TAPS ceremonies all the American cemeteries and battle fields throughout the long tour. I went on to over 30 years as a performer, but did not elect to audition with "The President's Own." My son today is a Marine aviator. (Not a musician). Can anybody in the know, shed light on why they have music in front of them? or is this a given, that they always as part of "the instrument" have their music holder. (I simply can't belive they don't have it memorized.)
Uniforms of Presidents own and their Drum Major remind me to British Uniforms of the musicans
❤
one of my uncles served in the Royal Navy on board H.M.S. Isis during World War Two; Very moving Last part of the Ceremony it was
What is the name of the background song played at the very beginning of this video?
God bless USA⚔
41:45 whats the song played here?
This march is entitled "Officer of the Day".
How often does this Parade occur ? Anyone ?
I'm new to this......
What is the story behind the busby that the band leader is wearing ?
he is wearing a bearskin.busbies are smaller
@@deliadunstan846 Busbies are bearskins.
maybe in usa,but in uk they are different shapes and sizes.in uk the small busbies are worn by artillery & bearskins are worn by guards regiments.they may both be made of bearskins but are referred as such by their different sizes.i'm not familiar with american english terminology
As a London based Irishman, I have always understood that the term busby was simply a common nickname for the bearskin, ie they mean the same!
However that doesn't answer the question! I too was curious about this! Was the current officer a former British Guardsman or is it worn in honour of a British creator of the band?
bearskins originated from the french imperial guard.the british defeated them at waterloo and adopted them to honour guards regiments.as the french greatly assisted us forces during the revolution the us adopted them as a tribute to their assistance
Had to fast forward through Souza and the piccolo.
Great
