How lovely. The Countess is so natural at narrating as well as conversing with a sense of humour to Steve. Those purple roses is my favourite. Bird of paradise has untypical colour than what we have here in Asia which is radiant orange. What a garden!

I loved this tour. If the pandemic ceases to hold us hostage, we would love to visit Mapperton in person. Coming from the states, we would more than likely have to quarantine which would cut our trip too short. Someday, sigh.

What an absolutely wonderful narrator the Countess is. She and Steve are so knowledgeable about the garden and if they don't know I love the fact that they say I don't know rather than just making something up! Thank you for the trouble that you go through to do these videos for our entertainment and education. Be well, stay safe, love from Texas

There is a sweet banter between the Countess and Steve that makes these tours of the gardens delightful to watch. I see how much time my husband spends in our modestly sized suburban yard/garden to keep it in prime condition so I can imagine the responsibility Steve (or any gardener) feels when tasked with such a vast variety of plants.

I’m in Littleton, Colorado. I also fight an invasive species of pink geranium. It pops up all over my garden. The deer haven’t been here to eat my hostas this year, but have in the past. It is a pleasure to watch you and Steve. You are so fortunate to have him. 🦋

That was so gorgeous. Thank you all so much for sharing it with us. I was rather glad to see that Lady Sandwich shared my lack of enthusiasm for Daturas (or Brugmansias). I once saw a very old Hollywood film on TV in which the villain murdered his sick wife by filling her bedroom with those allegedly sweet smelling plants. So I've always felt rather a horror at the sight of them! I guess Steve the head Gardener is also Steven the cameraman on a lot of your other films.

Think it would be quite interesting to see how they maintain such a huge an beautiful garden like at the Mapperton. Especially when cutting the bank beds. But thankyou so much for opening your home to us all. Much love from the states Texas!!

Hosta is a "deer magnet." As long as you have any hosta around, the deer will devastate your garden. There's hosta around my place, and I hate the stuff. The flowers are ugly, and fortunately last very briefly. With all the beautiful flowers you have, I'd ditch that hosta!
