I have my own book on Amazon KDP right now and I wanted to add it to a bundle with a physical product I'm selling, so I need to get a bunch of my books printed and sent to FBA. Although your video has a different purpose, it answered all of my questions!
Just starting the journey. Next week will be my first time shipping and getting going on FBA book sales. You’re amazing helping the community out. Thanks for hooking us up with your process. May you be blessed in your business.
Thank you so much for this video all I needed to know before shipping my first box to fba. Wish me luck ;-) , I appreciate you going right to the point
Some things might have changed since this video but the overall gist of it holds true. If you run into any headaches reach out I can guide you! Just know the first one will be the biggest pain after that its smooth sailing!
I have heard that even though the FBA will cost you it is worth more to have a prime shipping button on your book. The fast free delivery for prime members is worth more than the cost. If someone else is selling the same book an is even a touch more in cost most people will choose the prime shipping fulfilled by Amazon. That prime button provides confidence and happiness in the buyer. Hands down I’m going to follow along and do FBA. Just makes sense.
@@TheUsedBookGuy yeah because of your video I’m finally going to try using Your instructions and get rid of my inventory lab thanks a lot it me a while to find someone who showed the entire listing process when using seller central
Interesting. So eBay is the better choice for comping, but it’s still ok to send it to be sold via Amazon. If the books are signed, how would you recommend listing the books on Amazon? Or should I go the eBay route? I really appreciate your help since I’m new to this.
@DaniloMarrone Usually signatures will command a better price. On Amazon 95% of people do not read Condition Notes so even if you put its signed and ask for more money there is a good chance it will never sell. Anything that I come across that is signed automatically gets listed on ebay.
Thank you so much for the advice. I’ll still use Amazon for regular book sales, and your video has been very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your videos, I've seen some videos where you sell different media, like DVDs, cd's. I'm about to send my first shipment of VHS and I am not sure if I should stick the bar code label on the VHS since they are paperback and could be damaged. What is your advice? THANK YOU SO MUCH
Can you say if all the books were sold and maybe what was the profit off that box? I'm worrying going into this if inventory isn't sold what happens. My mom has a thousand books to get rid of, lots of art books and high end leather bound with gold leaf, I have no idea how to sell them. Thank you for the info that makes it seem easy, right now I feel overwhelmed.
20% sell through on a monthly basis. Not every book will sell. You have to pay roughly $2 per book to have it disposed of after 12 months. I would estimate I sell about 80% of all my inventory I send by the time I dispose of it at the 13th month mark!
Hey. Any chance you can do an updated version. This is over 2 years ago and it is such a great video that I think it would do well to have it redone! :)

Quick question have a friend that wrote his book and it’s being printed and he started his own seller central Amazon shop when listing does he need the product ID to be the ISBN number? He made one listing and tried to send his books but says no manufacture barcode
You can get around the manufacture barcode. Look up a few videos and im sure you will be able to figure it out. It might be called a GTIN exception I forget its been awhile!
I haven't used any SKUs until recently. I use them to track what store the item is from for spreadsheet purposes. You don't need one but keep it simple. For me if it's Goodwill Harrisburg I use GW.HBG as my SKU. They are not required just depends on how closely you want to track your inventory.
So just went to do my first listing (Canadian)on my iPhone and my listing page asks the manufacturers suggested retail price & it’s a mandatory field. I’m just inputting the new book price from the listing ??

@TheUsedBookGuy Thanks for video! Amazon is requiring me to enter the "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" when I create a listing for a used book. What should I put in there?
