I don’t remember how I found you on You Tube, but you changed my life. I bought a beautiful silver table for my bathroom, and bought new makeup and started looking after myself after losing my husband in 2017. You gave me motivation again. Thank you Dominique.

I’m seriously crying my eyeballs out. I’m 59, and at the point in my life, I’m so sad! My precious children are grown, and have their own lives. Although I have an an amazing best friend, my husband of 40 years. It feels like what now??? You’re an inspiration to all women at this stage of our lives; thank you❤️
The answer to "What now?" is "Me." Likely everything you've done to this point has been about taking care of everyone and everything else. It's time to turn that around! It breaks my heart to hear that someone who has gotten to this stage in their life is sad--you are totally worth all the time and attention that you can now devote to yourself. You have *earned* it! So please, go and enjoy it!

I hear ya, sista! I'm 58 next month, and same thing! Hubby and I are on a new path, our child moved out; lots of unknowns ahead, and the current world situation is distressing, but we can do this. If it's difficult, we can do it; if it's amazing, embrace it and run with it! Gather some girlfriends to help keep you grounded. Good luck to you (and me) and others!!!

Congrats on your retirement! I retired two years ago from the corporate world after 40+ years. I wanted to retire to enjoy my grandson and to enjoy life while I’m still healthy and mobile. I’ve spent more time taking care of myself after retirement. I’ve lost about 20 lbs and like my current weight. I exercise daily. I’m cooking more! I love the freedom to decide how I’ll spend my day.
Dom, I have enjoyed watching you on the news over the years. I am a native Houstonian and you have been a regular part of my household, you are like family. I cannot wait to see what you do in this new chapter. I greatly admire you and you have helped me beyond measure as I am entering my mid-forties. Side note (well sort of), I will never forget when at the age of nineteen or twenty I worked as a temporary receptionist at KPRC. I saw you in the breakroom and you were so nice. I remember going home and telling my mom about you and just feeling so excited. You have brought so much to our community here and I am sure you will continue to do so in so many other ways! Dominique, I cried when I read the news yesterday, then I teared up watching you on the news last night. You have been in our living room for so long that I can't imagine our evenings without you. However; I am so thrilled for you. I started my RUclips Channel several months ago as I wanted to be an ambassador for the mature woman. I felt God led to do it! I just retired after over 30 years of teaching. Going through a year of worry over COVID and all of the stress and anxiety in the world brought me to the realization that even though I still LOVED my career and was valued by students, families, and staff, it was time to concentrate on my life at home. I cried for probably the entire month of June, but by September, I was at peace, and I am so relaxed! It is very difficult to leave what you love, but we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to make such decisions, with a loving family for support. Best of luck to you!♥

That made me cry. Ive watched you from the beginning since 2014 when I was planning my wedding. Now, I am divorced as of 2020. So definitely in transition. I have friends who changed jobs, retired, moved to a new home, get married, cut their hair all sorts of changes. This year seems to be the year of endings and new beginnings. When you do your heart felt videos where you're talking to us (and obviously we can tell you know that it is coming from... your heart) I've always thought that you would be a great motivational speaker and book writer. Dominique, I was new to your RUclips channel, about a year ago. You have become like a comfort for me every Thursday. I too, live in Texas, but in the Hill Country near San Antonio. When I found your channel, my husband had ended his 30 year military career, and we moved into our forever home. It was definitely a transition period, even for me. Oh and I had turned 50 in all of that and feeling pretty low, then I found you. Thank for being kind, uplifting, goofy as we all are. I am here to Congratulate you! Oh my goodness, when I heard you speak about this new "chapter" in your life journey and when you referenced, " if you have ever found yourself looking in the mirror and saying who is this"!? I nearly fell out of my chair! I JUST today, while sitting in the car with my husband, said, " I look in the mirror sometimes, and think, who is this women I see". I am turning 66 in a few weeks and, struggling a bit more about my age! He is precious, and says all the right things and loves me dearly, as I do him! Your book, as I knew it would, is JUST WHAT I NEED, I would venture to say, a LOT of us feel that way! From the moment I started watching your channel, back at the start of the Pandemic, I felt an immediate connection with you and also this community of viewers. OMG! When I heard you were retiring I thought, "cool" Dominique is starting a new chapter in her life but after listening to this video, I am so excited about your upcoming book. I retired in 2018 and I have often asked myself, "what will make me happy". Your book sounds like just want I need and am interested in. Earlier in our lives, we are so busy just surviving, in my 50s I have had time to self reflect and think about how I want my life to look. Congratulations Dominique!

I'm 72. I found your channel 3 years ago when I was looking for makeup for mature skin. You delivered and then some. You embrace your sisterhood with purpose. At 32 years old, with a 6 year old, and the end of a 9 year marriage, I kept telling my son, things are going to be different, but that does not mean things are going to be worse! I started following you a few years ago and from that time on I always hoped you’d write a book. This is such great news. I have to say, this news made me so emotional!!! Dominique, you are what my grandmother called an ‘old soul.” That means, if you don’t know South Georgia southern, that you are wise way beyond your years. I admire you so,so much and wish our paths would cross someday. Maybe a book tour to Orlando. I’m disabled at the moment, and really had a rough day today. Sort of giving up. Your video today helped me just a small part in changing my attitude and continue to ask God to give me my leg back and walk again. I so want to serve the Lord again and get to working in a women’s clinic trying to save babies from abortion. I have to be more bold and blessed as I live the rest of my life. Dominique from the moment I started watching your channel I couldn’t get enough of your encouragement and wisdom. I also retired this year at the end of August after working at the same job for 35 years. One of my deciding factors was losing my younger brother and sister-in-law to COVID with in 3 months of each other last year….I realized that I needed to step out of my comfort zone and take care of me. I’m just starting the 50’s and my husband and I are empty nesters as of the middle of September. I’m definitely looking forward to reading your book to help me adjust to this season in my life. “There’s something very special about this age and phase of our lives”………YES!! And I think so much of it is not only the age we are, but the generation that we are. I think we were the last generation to really enjoy interpersonal relationships without technology, but then old enough to see the pros and cons of technology/social media after it got here. We really are a unique generation in that regard, like we’ve had our feet in two very drastically different eras. I’m still digesting your video…….I feel so emotional…….not sure why. I feel like you’ve been a friend (been following you since your 10 ways to tie a scarf video) and I’m just so proud of your successes and the way you live your life. ❤️❤️❤️

I “stumbled” onto your channel while my husband was working in TX and I was traveling with him. From that stumble I fell head long into your channel! That was 5 years ago. You have been/are such an inspiration to this now 65 year young mom, wife, Nana, dog mom. After early retirement I found myself trying to “figure it out”. What now! I found that unlike many women, I still needed to get up, and according to my day, get dressed, do my face/hair. If I looked frumpy, I felt less motivated. Dominique reaffirmed that for me!! It wasn’t my imagination nor was I being selfish! God bless you Dominique! I have a feeling your best career is ahead☺️💕Excited to read this book!

You are so inspiring, uplifting, Sweet, kind and thoughtful. You never make me feel as though I cant not afford to be beautiful, or try new things.
