I fixed mine with a band cut from the silicone rubber comfort grip of a ball point pen! Heat resistant, and a perfect, snug fit :-) Not "Just a Dumb Girl"!
They really should have made these things stronger. 3/5 of my new wolf range knobs cracked at the connector neck. I did the same thing, while sometimes the zip-tie is not tight enough, just feed the cut off zip-tie into the slot, cut to length and pad it in as you put the knob back on. I really love to have machined metal connection replacements but the range makers all made these different from one another, after struggle I just figure it out myself.
Wish I would've seen this before I put a drop of Gorilla Glue into the knob hole. Now it's just completely messed up and won't grip. Luckily the knob is only like $10.
I need to not only fix the cracked shaft but also replace the D ring which fell out and got lost. I cannot find a Samsung D-ring anywhere. Anyone know of a place?
Hi Lisa, Try putting in a flat matchstick in the area of the knob where the flat portion of the stem goes to create a cardboard shim. As you push the plastic knob over the shaft Vashem will help it stay tight without the need of the D ring.
Amazing
Nicely done😊
This idea would be good for a snap on antenna to the TV said thank you this was not exactly what I was looking for though but you gave me a good idea

What is inside the stem of the stove knobs
Usually there is a small piece of spring steel that helps create a tight friction between the inside of the knob and the outside of the metal stem
My post which is plastic is broken, Can you help?
It’s time to change the thermostat that’s connected to the plastic rod
I have a JennAir model CG206B Gas cooktop. The plastic knobs melt due
it heat. Does anyone make a replacement knob but in metal?
Hi Ken,
Just put your model number in a Google search along with the word burner knob and you’ll see a few stores that sell them online.
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance l tried that. Only found compatible plastic
Just watched video using hose clamps. Looks like a good fix
Thank You.. Big help..
what if a part of the stem is missing?
Hi Tony,
Need to replace the whole switch.
Will it not get heated and melt. I used teflon tape which melted in 2 days
Should be ok. They’re pretty tough.
Thanks man. They want $32 for 1 Fridgedaire knob.
