I just can't imagine how hard it has to be, playing at your top level year after year after year, shutting down all doubters and haters, winning trophies, breaking records every weekend and this for 10 years in a row. But then after 1 bad week, 1 bad season people forget who you are and what you did in your career. It has to be so exhausting for ronaldo, being told for past 3 years that he's finished and useless after all that he has done. Playing out your soul every game and knowing that even if you take 1 small break, people are going to lynch you for that small break that you had. never injured, never gave up. This man is a complete cyborg, probably the best and most complete football player that we've ever seen. Those things happen to him because he's Ronaldo. No hate towards Messi but people just "like" Messi more. Every person that has eyes and smallest understanding of this sport can see what an absolute genius Ronaldo is. When he retires, sadly, he won't get the recognition that Messi will get. Just because he is controversial. This man carried every team, season for season on his shoulders without taking a break and being an absolut shield and sponge for his whole squad who was injured, playing bad and probably not even supporting him some times, when they lost or went trophyless. All the blame didn't go to his team but mostly towards him. I mean, come on. What a sick player do you have to be when people are more surprised that you didn't score for one game instead of when you score a hat-trick. He's a legend. He's a leader. This man is a goat.

The craziest thing about CR that always boggled my mind was his passing and shooting accuracy. He's done the most outlandish passes to guys that he can't even see and it always goes right to them. They don't even have to move an inch to get it. His brain must be on the level of a computer.
I wanna see a stat on his possesion loss. I bet its a high %. Which pisses me of about him. In this video, he does so many dribbles that do nothing, just for show. Thats what i dont like about him, alot of the time, its like he doesnt know the basics, and he loses the ball cause of it. But of course, his scoring ability makes up for all of it. Its why teamates "hate" him. Hes no fun to play with.
And with that being said, it means messi is the best footballer. His basics are the best there ever was, and prolly ever will be. Ronaldo is the best athlete in football. He used training to perfect his body, and that enabled him to score goals. He has good football iq, but with an avarage body and good stamina, he would be avarage, if even that. And thats why he deserves all the respect. Idk i explained it kinda poorly, but fk it.

Messi is defo the better player bc of his mastery on the basics of football, no crazy skills that aren't that necessary like 4 stepovers for example; Messi usually does croqueta mixed with body feints, inside-outs etc whilst using his superior ball control, speed, agility and quick change of direction. Even though i've preferred watching Ronaldo and Neymar more since childhood, Messi has always been the better player bc of his simple play. His height/center of gravity is what allows him to move and change direction so fast plus his short legs gives him an advantage to keep the ball close to his feet. The basics are the hardest to master, which messi has done with the advantages his body and talent gives him. but at the same time, it also takes hard work to perfect that talent and use ur body as an advantage.
