During the 11-12 season Ronaldo was potentially the most complete player the world has ever seen. There was barely a single weakness to his game. Pace, trickery, goals, strength, heading, free kicks, two footed and injury-free. What a player.

His dribbles (2,5 per game only) overrated, his playmaking is just a decent winger activity, cant even at his prime to do a single action in the hearth of the game he was only on wing, and so more.

I think this was when Ronaldo was just about at his peak (certainly his physical peak, age 26-27). His relentless direct attacking was insane, and he was just about at his best this year (46 goals and 12 assists in 38 La Liga games, 10 goals and 3 assists in 10 UCL games). 60 goals and 15+ assists in 55 games in all competitions.
I’ll just never forget Messi and Ronaldo’s race for the golden boot this year:
Messi: 50 goals in league, 73 total
Ronaldo: 46 goals in league, 60 total

Ronaldo had six 50+ goal seasons in a row for Real Madrid (10/11 thru 15/16; 53, 60, 55, 51, 61, 51) and led the UCL in goals six seasons in a row (12/13 thru 17/18; 12, 17, 10, 16, 12, 15). All while winning four champions leagues (for Madrid). Who knows if we’ll ever see that again from a player and his team.

One of the biggest Messi fans you'll ever see. Messi was on another planet in 10/11 and 11/12 but Ronaldo's 11/12 was his best FOOTBALL in a Real shirt. His overall influence has decreased gradually over the years. Not just in the past year or two either but a pure goal machine for like 6 or 7 years now.

Sadly as a Ronaldo fan I must admit you're right... His knee injury in 2014 made him change his style of play and not be able to dribble like he used to. He Lost a lot of skill... He was never the same after that year.
