A profoundly underrated album filled with awesome riffs and amazing solos. This song absolutely rips! Saw KD live for this tour 3x.

If you can get past the satan lyrics the vocals and instrumentals are incredible!! His King Diamond band along with Mercyful Fate!! Great bands!!!
True..they wipe the floor with most metal bands..like Metallica, Megadeath, etc!

King Diamond is a master of satanic songs and occultism. If you can't enjoy that you don't understand his music.
@jackgromets1620 I agree!! I wasn't bangin on what he sings about. I fuckin love what he does and Mercyful Fate. I was just saying that aspect is why some people don't listen. And fuck the people that dont!! You listen to his lyrics the man's a poet! He's an absolute genius!!!!
THE GRAVEYARD!
Hate to burst anyone's bubble but this album is simply about a mentally ill person's revenge on the man who put him in the asylum. With the exception of the album closing song "Lucy forever" it has no supernatural elements in the story! That's what makes it my fave KD album cos I'm not too keen on stupid fantasy/supernatural lyrics. Have fun listen to it. Strictly musically speaking there are better KD albums out there but this one is pretty good too. Story-wise this is definitely the best one.. probably the most down-to-earth story in the KD catalog
Hahahaha, your guys' faces during those first couple of verses, especially when he overpowered the nurse.
Don't forget, even though King's alter-ago in this story is the protagonist and falsely accused/convicted of a heinous crime, the character IS still a little touched in the head, so he is going to do "whatever is necessary" to achieve his goals and get revenge on Mayor McKenzie.

So i owe you both an apology...from some stuff i said about a year ago. I was irked about the claim that accepting christ was the only way into heaven. Seeing how open minded about music as you are as well as not assholes I can look past beliefs that differ from mine.

Many people compare King to Rob Halford (like Metallica vs. Megadeth) and argue sometimes with who has the best voice. Once I read an interview on King and he was asked who his favorite singer was and he didn't miss a beat and said "Rob Halford". King loves Judas priest and performed "The Ripper" on a tribute album. The very first time I saw King was in a video on headbanger's ball. It was "Sleepless NIghts" and I was a kid then and it disturbed me a lot how he hit those highs and then he dropped octaves and hit these lows. For years I wouldn't listen to him but one day I heard one song played by my friend and I was hooked on it. I love to watch people react to him. Thanks for giving him a chance. Long live the King!!!!!!!!
His King Diamond albums along with Mercyful Fate is some of the best metal ever. I saw him just as King Diamond in a small club The Living Room in Providence RI way back in 90ish. Absolutely incredible!!
