  • @garylake8654
    @garylake8654 4 года назад

    Lets face it, New Zealand were lucky to score any points, it was a fluke try, and even then, England just marched up the field and made it a two score game again, and that is very different to Jones's team of the Spring, because six months ago, I think England would have cracked after the Savea debacle. The score line flattered New Zealand, it was not just a thirteen point loss, it was a total suffication of the All Black magic, and Hansen & Reid are very aware of this.

    As a Kiwi im gutted at the result. But at the end of the day ENGLAND were way to good on the day so my humble Congratulations to ENGLAND. They dominated our All Blacks right accross the field. Rucks, mauls, lineouts, turnovers, possession, trys, and were unlucky to have 2 trys knocked back. That was an even better display of rugby since our boys had there arse kicked by the Wallabys in Perth & by the Springboks last year.

      Proper respect and its testament to just how good the All Blacks are that people almost deemed them unbeatable. In reality this is top level Rugby and on any day the top 8 teams NZ, AUS, SA, Ireland, England, Wales, France and Scotland can beat each other, sure you maybe have 4 or 5 favourites but these are top athlete's with top players which makes the margins super slim. I have heard numerous Kiwi's talk about the gem and besides the odd little moan, which is understandable they have made no excuses and have all said England were amazing, as for this numpty Journo wtf, NZ did turn up, were hungry, just faced a crazy England performance, in fact I would argue its the best England performance in a WC ever, including our famous victory.

    Well done England...best big budget with polynesian impactful game changer in team on the field...
    That WAS an average game of rugby played at the most important moment of a tournament ... England beating Australia for the RWC final still stands as England’s best game ever in a RWC ... they can change that in 2019’s final...
    South Africa vs England will be a classic...no doubt!

    Didn't hear any disrespect in the question. What i saw on the field was the AB's not able to fight back, now the coach wants a rumble outside to teach a journo a lesson. Doesn't sound very dignified. Respect to the AB's for their 12 year unbeaten WC run and well done to England for a great game today they had all the answers. Reckon the Boks will beat Wales, but they're gonna have to play out of their skin to beat the English in this form.

    • @interestedbystander196
      @interestedbystander196 5 лет назад +4

      No, not disrespectful in itself, but it obviously touched a nerve.
      The whole thrust of all the questions was very much on the theme of "how did the All Blacks lose?". So to say they turned up not with the will to win was pretty sketchy and ill-judged as a question.
      I think the bit that _is_ disrespectful is to come at the dissection from the perspective that the ABs lost. Actually, England won, which is different.
      ABs played hard; ABs played well; England played better, and England beat them.
      That is different to losing.

    yeah Steve is right!no team comes to a freaken semi-final not being hungry especially if you're the defending champs....I mean that goes without saying!!especially a team like the AB's with so much at stake.Question is why go ask such questions if you're really a rugby/sports fan?
    New Zealand might have lost but southern hemisphere still the kings of the whole thing(rugby)...Wales might beat the Boks but check the coaching lineups....1.England-Eddie Jones.2.Ireland-Joe Schmidt.3.Wales-Warren Gatland...all southern hemisphere Chaps....and the 2019 world Champs,the BOKS-Rassie Erasmus!!!and I'm not contradicting me self...

    The fact that the world is shocked that NZ lost is both testament to how good they (NZ) are and to how well England has been playing. It's not nice for NZ obviously, but its very good for the sport to have the world cup finals blown as wide open as they have been this year. NZ will undoubtedly pick themselves up and recover.

    Look the ABS didn’t play well, that’s obvious but to be fair, there was only one try a piece and the difference was 4 penalty goals which means the ABS poor discipline lost that game. How many times have we seen this team play terrible and still win? I just think that in this tournament the pressure was on England to win after the disastrous results from the last WC. And just a parting thought. Eddie Jones has probably spent every waking moment devising a way to beat the All Blacks and he did just that. Congratulations to him and his team but for me, the ABS will always be the benchmark and I’m excited about what’s to come. Sad to see Hansen and Read go they have both been instrumental in the success of the All Blacks, it won’t be the same without them but we all said that after McCaw and Carter went, so life goes on.

    As a South African, I'm going to say it straight. That question the journalist asked was idiotic. I've played schoolboy rugby and the Springboks have played the All Blacks even before I was born. An All Black team that doesn't play rugby to completely obliterate the opposition has never existed in the history of the sport. No such thing exists as an All Black team that is not "hungry." What an idiot would even think of asking such a question? Hell, I was actually cheering on England because of my actual fear that we might have to face the All Blacks in a final! Ridiculous question indeed. Try to even imagine an AB team that's not hungry... I mean, come on!

    Well whats done is done. ABs will bounce back only if the loss today is properly analysed or else I am sure they will crumble at the hands of England again. And its really ok to do that but not here in the World Cup. There was a time the ABs used to be a team that was feared, none would be able to fathom winning but things were reversed last week against England. The team just didn’t have it from the start for England. Wrong package and wrong attitude. Accept it if its true Hansen. And 3 brothers when there are better players back home? Can’t deny that one?

    Hansen says, near the end, that England won because they were desperate to win and were throwing their bodies at the ABs. Isn't that what we call rugby? Even in my lower level team, if your aren't desperate to win and not willing to put your body on the line, you don't play the following match. It seems he was blaming England for playing rugby.

      "iT SEEMED HE WAS BLAMING eNGLAnd for playing rugby"
      I suggest you rewind and have another listen or brush up on your comprehension skills.

    • @WritewheelUK
      @WritewheelUK 4 года назад

      @@Moamanly I can assure you my comprehension skills are up their with my ability with the Caps Lock and Shift keys on my computer. England had a clear, and easily understood game plan which, I thought, would have been countered by the ABs after half time. I was wrong. The plan required the England players to get stuck in from the start. And they did, not allowing the ABs time to dwell. I thought it risky, too risky in fact as there were gaps, but I was wrong.
      His comment was nothing more than waffle. Pathetic is a word you used, and I would suggest that it applied to Hansen's reply. The match was won by the better team on the day, like most rugby matches, and not by desperation and thrown bodies. He knows that, as the coach, he too was beaten by a better coach on the day.
      It was a thrilling match, with some classic rugby. Most non-aligned spectators would have been excited. The ABs were, naturally, favourites and England beat them. That's always fun, but all it means is that on the day they were the better team. They go into Saturday's match as favourites, but, as we saw, it means little.

    Hansen cracked. Just when the theatrics is almost over he drops his faux humility like a brides nightie - takes exaggerated offense at an incisive but politely asked question by re-characterizing it, after already inferring himself that desire was lacking. He then re-mounts the high horse he's just been knocked off, gets all tough guy and threatens to "take someone out the back and educate them" It's a disgraceful display and precisely the snide and obnoxious hubris that makes an All Black loss the delight of the Rugby world. Steve needs to spend more time in Japan - learn what genuine humility looks like.
